XG aren't afraid to look "not pretty" in choreography. If that makes sense. Like they don't have to be cute all the time. They can do it all and so young. Can you imagine them in another 3 years damn
I do like how "slow" they are growing, if that makes sense. Allows room for more natural growth, a more loyal fanbase and less toxicity within the fandom.
A huge, sudden increase in your fanbase is hard to maintain for any artist compared to a fanbase you built for years, if that makes sense lol
The fact that they referenced Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power tells me that this is an intellectual rap. No need to use bad language or sex or any of that garbage to sell their music. This Japanese group is built different. And they are still so young!
Sienna Lalau is XG’s main choreographer and she is also one of BTS’s main choreographers . . . I saw a BTS vid where Suga mentioned that he wanted to do a collab with XG

Props for being “pretty well” informed about XG beforehand. Us Alphas will help you out! No girl group can do ALL the genres/choreo’s at their level. I do love BP and some other K-POP girl groups but they’re great in that genre.

You know what? XG makes me feel as excited as I felt when I first found BTS. The genuine love for hip hop, great choreography, great performances, vocals, the passion, the struggle... I'm so excited for XG, they're absolutely killing it!

I’m an ARMY but fell down the XG rabbit hole this summer. Cocona’s Cipher (poppin’ on them 808s) got me really curious😂. I’m not really into Asian GGs but I’d never seen one embody hip hop like they do. I wasn’t sure if it was genuine but as I fell down the XG rabbit hole, it became apparent these ladies really love music and their breadth of music taste is incredible. Their interviews about their thoughts on music were really good. They very much remind me of how bts were at the beginning as rookies, learning as much as they can about music and being excited to perform for their fans. (Not saying BTS isn’t like this anymore. They actually still are but it’s nice to see this genuine love of music and performance in another group.)
I can’t say I’m an Alphaz but definitely a fan. I can’t say I’m a casual listener anymore. I know all their names lol. I do love their music and really want them to succeed.
XG has been that group but Woke Up really put them on everyone’s radar.
Ever since I became ARMY I've been looking for an all female group to stan. There were a couple of groups over the years that I thought might be the one, but I lost interest for various reasons. THEN about a month ago I came across XG. There was no question they were the group for me. Just like BTS, XG are like no other. I still can't believe I got a ticket to see these 7 queens LIVE. Can't wait! #ARMY_ALPHAZ
I agree! I have tried but the female groups look like some random girls stomping around a stage flailing their arm with glamour shots in between, just silly. I am loving XG so far.

XG doesn’t just sing n rap in just one genre. They cover Jpop, Kpop, R&B, Rap n American pop n came up with XPop. XG is one unique group. I’m so happy I fell in love with Japan since 2005.
Now that this happened. I’m so curious to see if Nico and crew will react to XG now. ( my personal opinion that would be AMAZING ) thank you for introducing Nico to XG ❤
Their choreography is credited to Sienna Lalau with XG adding their own input.
Their hand movement is also sign language with the dance. There is another version they did the song in ASL version.

@@linkinchris603 Well, not really a small company. XGALX itself is a fairly new company, but it's a subsidiary of AVEX Japan. One of the biggest entertainmant companies in Japan. Their music business alone generated a revenue of 484 million US$ in 2023. So one might say XG's finances are secured. 😛

I'm ARMY (2017 BBMA era) and this is the first gg that has really caught my attention, also. II started to notice them about mid-2022, by random happenstance. But I really started paying attention when they did their live at the 88 Rising Head in The Clouds NY in 2023 - their live stage sold me. Definitely a group that makes me feel a lot like I did when I first found BTS, and I have been really enjoying XG's rise so far. They are definitely swimming upstream, but I think they can do it!

GRL GVNG is a lot more complex choreography then you realize, it’s not their toughest choreo, but the accuracy and speed they move the chairs but also the biggest part the ASL that is used throughout, so not only staying in sync but also adding in sign language adding yet another thing they can do on top of they already do, name a single group period that is on that level, answer nobody

As an ALPHAZ and ARMY, I've been saying this for a while. XG is the gg equivalent of BTS. Not as famous yet, but it's just a matter of time. Right now, they are playing smallish US theaters. Soon, they will be at Sofi stadium, Metlife Stadium, etc.!!!
