- How to fix boot device not found - hard disk (3f0) error when booting your computer or laptop. The issue can be that the system is looking to another boot device like a usb key or cd instead of your hard drive (fix in bios boot options). Hard Disk (3f0) error code on boot can be from a dead or dying hard drive. This boot error could mean that your bios option are set to legacy and not secure boot or UEFI boot.

I fixed my faulty HP laptop with a hammer. It didn't solve the hard drive issue but I felt a lot better. Never again would I purchase a HP product. My mobile phone is faster.
Hell yeah
A hammer 🤣🤣🤣
Keith Reilly are u sure?coz i did your solution and it turns out worst
lmfao, i was legit thinking the same thing. it's so frustrating that i want to smash it with the hammer seriously
Why to go.
I have exams tomorrow and my laptop does this to me 😃🤘
update 6 months later: i used my phone for the exam and it turns out that the laptop i was using fell flat on its screen when the owner that time was my older sibling.. the said laptop is now finally fixed (after being on standby for months) for the usage of my younger sibling and i got a hand-me-down laptop from my cousin so it all worked great in the end ☺
What is your exam based on? I’m In a different school, but it could be the same subject
Same here 🙌🏼😂
My computer did this to me the day before a big project, and then my internet fucking went out :D

OUR Mistake was to Buy an HP Laptop. HP IS OFFICIALLY DEAD to me. NO one in my Family is ever going to buy HP Product ever again.
👆THIS
How do i exit this
I spent my 4 month savings on a HP shit, i have issues with power throttling, issues with ports, issues outta nowhere, then the same problem as the guy in the video, idk if im gonna destroy my laptop and save for a year to buy something like i dunno Razer, Dell or even a MacBook, and i hate Macs, but if they are more reliable then this shit im going for it
Oh if you think their products suck just try calling their tech support. Man, they will make you flip your wig. The guy had me on the line for 2 hours while he watched a youtube video to try and help me! Oh and the clincher was they charged me $89 bucks and refused to give me a refund. Well I one upped them and disputed it with my credit card company and got my money back. I then watched a youtube video and fixed the issue myself. HP is incompetent. The sad part is I have an HP desktop, all-in-one printer, fax machine. The sickness goes on and on. When they conk out I'm not going anywhere near an HP anything! Whew! Thanks for letting me vent.
😭
I just purchased this used computer for $50. I am not sure how things will end up. However, after following your directions the system is updating and I see the welcome screen! This is the best it's been and has cost me nothing more! Thank you and God bless you!
Nothing happened. I want to die
Ill let you know a possible fix once I test it on mine

Thank you! I upgraded my laptop from HDD to SSD. Cloned the old HDD to the new SSD and I had this issue. Put in the old HDD and still had the issue. Legacy boot fixed it for me 👍
Hello, my situation is exactly the same as what you have mentioned. How you fixed the issue?
thanks for explaining it in such an easy to understand way. although my laptop is useless now your video helped me understand the problem a lot better, so thanks!
I love your enthusiasm. Good morning giggles for me over coffee :) P.S. Thank you for this video. It helped my fiance fix his computer within minutes. He ran the quick hard drive scan, powered his Lap top off and on, and BAM! Fixed.

Thanks for your video man, saved me. Crazy how one can look over this simple thing because you’re panicking over losing everything 😭😂 thank you man
Dude you have just saved my life! I thought a lot of information was lost. In my case I had to change the Legacy Support to enable, Don´t even know what that means, but helped the laptop work. Thank you a lot!!

The “legacy boot settings” that you showed at the end is what fixed it.

Thanks a lot , your video really helped me out :)
a lot of the fixes that people are finding seem only temporary. So if something works for you, don't shout for joy until you've had a dozen or so successful boots to Windows. What is working for me (notice I didn't say "what worked for me") was going into the BIOS and turning off ("hidden" is the word in the setting) the TPM (Trusted Platform Module). This, on my 2019 HP Spectre x360. So far, so good. Good luck, everyone. 🤞 UPDATE: It seems to be working after multiple restarts.
Thanks man, I just enabled legacy boot and bam! It worked.
Thank you for this! It fixed mine by enabling the Legacy support
Your comment helped me fix mine. Thanks so much!

You’re welcome!
I found this really frustrating, I was expecting you to run through the options/variables... as you mentioned at the start. Would have been helpful if you gave all the things to test at the start and then the solutions at the end, I got frustrated watching all the waffle in between that did not apply to me so I am now going somewhere else...

The switching sata ports seemed like such an obvious fix, but my hard drive was being picked up it just couldn't load the windows on it so i didn't think it could be the sata port. Changing the sata cable to a different port seemed to pick up the windows on my hard drive, and now it's working. Thanks!
Legacy!!!!!! Man thank you. I didn't known why my HP wouldn't boot up, but this fixed it. Perfect timing!
IT WORKED! thank u pelao man
Nope everything didn’t work. Tried 5 different videos. 7 different websites. Even tried fixing it my self. I’ve spent 3 hours trying to get this thing working again, and I’ve come to a conclusion that my hard drive or port is basically screwed. This has been the most helpful so far but yeah. Guess I can’t fix this one by my self.
same problem with me brother if u find something thn tell me
Pratik patel I did so I talked to Best Buy and they said the SSD has become unreadable. Basically it’s broken and you have to pay money to get it fixed by a professional. You can’t just plug it in and out you’ll have to get someone to fix it or get a new SSD.
sameeee ;(
Maybe it got encrypted and it’s fucked?
I'm in the same boat, even tried to install windows from a USB and it installed it on the USB not the hard drive lmao. Hard drive checks pass fine.
Thanks may God bless you.... I was so afraid when my laptop displayed that error... I was already planning how to save up some money to repair it.. But hopefully I found this video... I really appreciate it

Okay so some people might have changed the hard drive and then loaded the defaults in the bios or something and by doing that the legacy boot something( i dont remember it quite well) is disabled and i had to enable it for my pc to boot
Woah, thank you so much, bought a brand new laptop, had that problem after a week. Thank you man :)))

Thia didn't work for me and instead of 3fo error just says boot not found now

This worked for me. I added blue stacks, nox player, arc welder extension to Crome and Cinema HD. It may have reconfigured the bios. I new the OS had to still be on the hard drive.

When you said power it off then on yours worked but mine did not
Ikr this is fake you can make it look like your on the settings but all he did was just mary hard nothing started it up and lookie here it "works" wow this guy is a scam
This exact thing happened to me, ran into some problems got blue screen a couple times and ended with this black screen but errors seem to differ every time I try it so my guess is the hard disk died as I heard some weird sounds from it for a while. He's not a manufacturer so u can't expect him to know every single problem, he solved mine and unfortunately not yours. Just act mature and use your brain a little.
I have my laptop working for a day after trying to fix this problem for a week and overnight it does it again 😤 I don't care if it starts working, its going out the window in 24 hours.
i just plug out mouse USB and started work wow , thanks man thumbs up for you!
