- day 4 and 5 and sadly the last video of the 2022 BWCA trip! I was really hoping to stay a little longer but these dang bugs are too much to handle... Hope you guys still enjoy as we still did! I did a big canoe trip up at the boundary waters when I was 15. We did a week long trip. Many good memories being brought back from this series! Awesome series!
Yo! I am from Saint Paul Minnesota and grew up going up to Ely and doing hiking/canoe trips. I miss it so much and am just starting to get back into fishing and stuff again at 24. So pumped and am loving it so much. I get up north a few times a year but it is never enough,

This has been a great series, enjoyed tremendously. Kept it real, almost felt like I was along, except no bugs in my face. Those views of that raging river were spectacular. Anyone who didn't get to see these is missing out.

You have to try a thermacell. There wouldn’t have been a mosquito problem. I thought they were bs at first but now have several. A couple of the bigger ones for patios would’ve made this trip so much better.
yep have a thermacell on your belt running and zero issues with skeeters. Not sure how one would not think the bugs would be bad in the boundary waters....
My hubby bought a bug zapper - it’s the size of a tennis racket zaps gnats and skeeters. Real nice. Love it. It would be a camp site commodity ❤️✨💯🕊🙏🏻

In Hawaii we burn coconut husks to smoke out the skeeter s. It really helps. Any kind of smoke helps. Citronella punks coils help too.

For the insects put a dab of Vick's vapor rub behind each ear and a few dabs around exposed skin. They will mostly leave you alone.

Yo such a sick camping spot it sucks when the rain and bugs get crazy and make you wanna stay in the tent all day, but that's camping for you at least you had some foggy tent moments with the boys that's what it's all about

Yeah buddy boy I have done that and stayed for two weeks in the month of September and the bugs were not as bad but you have to make a video of a fishing trip at night with all the stars above just make sure you have your tent spot lit up with a torch so you know where you’re going we didn’t go far from our camp at night but I sure would love to see all the stars love you all you guys rock I’m going to watch every video will I do anyway and make one when you cross into Canada when you have to talk to the Mounties or whatever you call them do not leave at least make a night video of fishing or just cruising the lake in the canoe that would be a great video just try to man up guys I love you all always looking forward to your next video man too many beers tonight👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think you took a big chance drinking water without filtering it ( if you've ever had giardia you'd know)and I'm surprised you don't have a thermocell, which would have knocked the bugs back.Or deet or picaridin, which i think is better than deet and half as toxic. Great waterfall!
Giardia (aka beaver fever) is no joke! Was in the hospital for 2 weeks from it.

Also I was going to buy a thermoscell for the trip but Brandon said he had one and Brandon ended up forgetting his🤗 in the future I’m going to bring one anyways!

I was just up near Isabela mn last weekend the bugs are the worst I've seen in 20 years of camping in norther mn . Made me buy a thermicell .
