    Brittany. Thank you! 😄 This is one of your more excellent tutorials!! You feel so much more relaxed having time to take your time . I was able to understand every single step/stitch without wondering about anything cut during edit. I LOVE a long sleeve classic shirt and will be sewing along with you real soon! 🎉 look forward to your future tutorials.

    This is the first time I've seen your channel. Congratulations, you are a talented and attention-to-detail seamstress. I watched this video on making a classic shirt even though I've made many, many shirts and shirtwaist dresses (my favorite dress style) over the years. That said, I learned something new and that was the burrito method of sewing a yoke. It's awesome and I plan to incorporate this technique in future projects. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on the stunning bag. Enjoy it coupled with good health and happiness!

I like to know what type of interfacing is used I don’t think I saw it mentón in the bottom. Can’t wait to make this shirt, it came out beautiful and love the bag!

    This video was helpful but i had a hard time following the front button area because the wrong side also looks like the right side, and that is the main thing i was coming for. 😢 I do like your presentation though so I'll take a look and see if you have any more tutorials covering that.

    Such a great video & sew-along, thank you. Question: I'm about to make this pattern, with the cuff & the technique used that left exposed edges, is there either a different technique, choice or finishing you could have done to mitigate this? I'm a beginner however am a precision girl.
    Thanks so much for such an informative & considered approach in the way you share, so inspired.

    Thank you for this video- I'm hemming (ha ha) and hawing and thinking about trying this pattern- I want to have the option of sewing it in a light weight linen, but they don't list that on the suggested fabrics- do you think it would work in a light weight linen?

  • @kerryrasmussen7620

    Can you please tell me what side of the fabric the interfacing goes on at the beginning of your video (where buttons go)? Is it on the right side? I can’t tell - both sides of your fabric look the same and the pattern doesn’t say what to do.

    • @brittanyjjonestv
      @brittanyjjonestv  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes it goes where the buttons go. Take a look on the front pattern piece, it should have a line that says fold for interfacing or something to the affect. Cut interfacing for that line and fuse it to the wrong side of your fabric. ❤️

    • @kerryrasmussen7620
      @kerryrasmussen7620 Před 7 měsíci

      Ok - thanks. It looked like you were doing it on the right side of the fabric. Thanks!

  • @yvobalcer
    @yvobalcer Před 2 měsíci

    Sewing is not the problem, creating buttonholes from these automatic buttonhole machines is the problem. It chews up the fabric.

    I like to sew items that are unique and that I would not be able to purchase in a store. If I add up my cost of fabric and notions and then pretend to pay myself for my time I can’t justify sewing a button up shirt that I could buy from J Crew or GAP. Now if I were in a unique size then I would.
