While I’m not a custom knife fan in general, or like exotic materials or dama anything on the blade, the design itself of the knife is AWESOME. It just looks so good!!!
I would love to see Kizer…or similar…do something like this. I’m with you on the exotic stuff. I don’t have that kind of coin but wouldn’t buy it if I did. I WOULD buy this exact design with anything above 9cr and stainless steel scales

I can’t even come up with words to describe this knife, i can only imagine the amount of time the maker would have to put into each aspect of the knife to make something with this level of perfection. That’s seriously some of the best opening action I’ve ever seen. Hopefully one day I’ll financially be in a spot where i could seriously consider buying something like this.
You can feel how smooth the action is through the video. That last open with the thumbstud that almost looked like a slow roll...damn!

Herucus Bloomerus if my favorite maker. He is one of the nicest guy I've ever met. I own my favorite models, HB15. I believe I snagged it for $700....South African makers are the knife communities secret treasures. Herucus does everything by hand. He is amazing!!!!

3:14 The pocket clip is beautiful of course but the pattern on the nose of the front of the blade is ridiculous impressive.
The pivot is probably turned from a Damasteel round - they manufacture 3 different concentric patterns like the one shown in the pivot screws here.
10 on the slap, and I hear Scott while typing this, so 10 on what ever is in the box.
Andre Thorburn is a master that taught other master. Had quite a few of his knives and AVH compilations and they're still the best action I've experienced. It feels like a door on a Bentley.

Gorgeous knife art. Cannot imagine how many hours of work went into producing this kind of knife. As an aside, South Africa is an amazing country, with a strong multi-cultural population, not unlike ourselves here in the good ol USA. If you ever get a chance to visit there I highly reccomend you do so.

As a boy he bought knives with pocket money and vowed to one day make knives that nobody would be able to buy with pocket money. Dream realized.
Im curious ,as a ling time knife carrier but new to the modern custom /collection type market …to me in years past liner locks were usually mostly stable aside from the cheapest of knives .but were a cheaper less safe locking mechanism .plus ,and this is imo , it seems less ergonomic and user friendly ….my question is , are these limer locking styles niw considered “better” in some (or all )ways ,and why ? Being new to this and on a much smaller budget than This type of artwork and also looking for function as key to a knife id consider, i personally have been seeing a lot of makers using liner locks more so than old school tried and true knives of the past . I use this as first point of disregard in my searches . If its liner lock it doesnt go into my cart /list for possible future purchase …seeing this “masterpiece” has me thinking maybe im mistakenly disregarding possibly very good functional knives …are there advantages to modern liner locks that could overide my fear of cutting my fingers while working with a knife ?

Dunno but from what I saw some of his pricing on Arizona Custom was very reasonable... Odins Eye Damasteel, zirconium bolsters, custom done spines, ano, etc. $1395.
