Blossom Park
There are 400 cherry trees in the Blossom Park in the Amsterdamse Bos. In spring you can enjoy the beautiful blossoms and the place exudes a special atmosphere all year round.
women's names
In 2000, the Japan Women's Club (JWC) donated 400 cherry trees to Amstelveen: the Prunus Yedoensis (grafted on a straight rootstock). Every tree has a name: 200 trees have a Japanese female name, 200 trees have a Dutch female name. You will find them at the bottom of this text.
Tsunami Monument
The Tsunami Monument is located in Blossom Park. The Blossom Park is a popular place for the Japanese community in and around Amsterdam.
