I have got my friends back in the UK to watch this & hopefully subscribe to you too , mainly they are Leeds utd fans, because they are my team there.
I have tried to explain what a Stockholm derby is like to them many times, you showed it so beautifully well . It was a great day for us . Lucky to have been part of it .

Denmark is the better country in so many ways compared to Sweden.
If your not living in the past, you don't hesitate about Swedens decline in several ways.

Personally I'm embarrassed when someone try "Skåne till Danmark". That chant is so out of date.
Denmark is no begger and would never want a poor city like Malmö, with all the challenges that come with that city.

Djurgården was created by workers who lived on the island of Djurgården, during the 1900s alot of djurgården supporters lived in the south of the city due to Djurgården having its youth teams there. Also hammarby had the same membership fee as Djurgården only a handfull of years after both clubs were created so by that logic if Djurgården was a upper class team back then hammarby must have also been one🤔

It’s all bullshit the whole idea, and not anything that is discussed really amongst normal fans in Stockholm. It’s an invention of Hammarby fans to nourish a reputation of being working class. Then they needed to invent that DIF is upper class to have an antagonist. It’s nonsense. I’ll grant you that Hammarby was really working class before, when southern Stockholm city was generally poorer (not true today). But I’d say that DIF and AIK had fans from all classes and all backgrounds.
The real historic strongholds for our fan base is very working class areas, such as Haninge and Rågsved for instance. The latter area is also where the very working class singer Thåström comes from, huge DIF fan.
Other notable fans of DIF is the previous leader of left wing formerly communist party Lars Ohly and the late prime minister and leader of the social democrats Olof Palme.
Would they have been fans if the club was upper class and representatives of the establishment? I don’t think so.
It’s all porkies stemming from the diseased minds of Hammarby fans.
So to summarise, I can agree that Hammarby was historically working class and more so than other clubs, but the others in Stockholm always had fans from all levels of society.
But I’d say upper class people where very few and far between at any grounds just because they’re generally not that into football.
I don’t think I’ve ever come across any other fans than Hammarby’s that ever bring it up though.

@@makknus No that was one of the men behind the footbal section. Which, as with Hammarby and AIK, happened several years after the club was created.

I adore the whole culture, that's why I visited all the big Stockholm and Göteborg teams, Elfsborg, Malmö. However, I didn't manage to stay entirely neutral, I have a slight bias towards the team I visited first. Find out, which one that is ;)

I am of course biased in the matter but I should mention which should be quite easy to understand. The home team tends to perform better in terms of tifo....then in general, DIF's tifo boys are world class. Would say that the Sthlm clubs' tifo is on a completely different level compared to other teams in Sweden.
@@Macedonac I would say AIK's Tifos are the best by miles, but yes, the 3 big Stockholm clubs are probably all way ahead of the rest.

Its not correct that DIF is an upper class team nor has been. Its founded by working class, have always been working class and all classes. But the team that most upper class people support is Djurgården, but they are by nature quite few and definately not the core of DIF supporters or the club culture.

1912 AIK's homeground were Stockholms stadio until it was too small and they moved to Råsunda in 1937.
1936 Djurgården took over Stockholms stadio as their home stadium.
Djurgården is the youngest club of the three.
Everyone that followed football before 2019 remember Djurgårdens campaign "VÅGA SÄGA NEJ TILL NYA SÖDERSTADION"
