  • Take a look at our first featured San Francisco neighborhood tour in our new Neighborhood Series. Keep watching to learn about home prices, check out neighborhood features, and meet some residents.
Potrero Hill is desired for its sunniness, proximity to highways and Caltrain, views of the skyline, and restaurants. Historically Potrero was a working class neighborhood until gentrification in the 1990s. It is insulated from the chilliness of the fog and is coveted for its close access to downtown while feeling like its own residential neighborhood with unique identity.

@@AndresRestrepoSFRealEstate they were older friends of mine and are now gone, but lived on Pennsylvania Ave kind of backed up to the 280. I remember calling and checking up on them after the big earthquake in 1989 and he told me they were on solid rock up on Potrero Hill and only thing that happened to the house was his books fell out of their bookcase on to the guest bed, he was glad they didn't have company that day LoL

Get rid of the projects on the south side of the hill and it'll be a more promising hood.
