They're amazing
I always hated Anti-Flag even all the way back to high school in 2002 mainly because you could see through their shtick like grandpa's underpants. Even the name bugged me but what bugged me the most were the vocals and just their suburb punk look.
So what?

The drop in quality in Anti-Flag’s music is incredible. They haven’t been good since the 2000s.
Love their music, too bad Justin wasn’t what his image portrayed. 20/20 vision was a great record. The older stuff was awesome too. I feel bad for the rest of the band. This video is really harsh, feels like just jumping on the hate bandwagon. I get it but they are done, decimates, destroyed. Btw some whoas are good, like any whoa Davey Havok sings.
Davey Havok is … just wonderful. There’s just nothing needful of criticism. Even from the late 90’s when AFI’S sound was much less refined. I guess the only thing that saddens me is Blaqk Audio didn’t really feature any singing from him. 🤷🏻♂️

Seen AF back in the day.. With a great band called BAD GENES..In the basement of one of the many punk houses in PGH.. It only cost me a couple canned goods as it was a Food not Bombs show.. Justin had a lot of energy when playing, but ot was still not a band i ever considered myself a fan of. The Sussed also played that day.. Damn that was a long time ago!😂

Bro....I'm from Pittsburgh and was HEAVILY into the Pittsburgh punk scene both as a fan and a musician since 1997. I HATED the fact that ANY semi known band that MIGHT have a decent following anytime during the late 90's and u played in Pittsburgh,there was about 110% chance we would have to listen to this whiney crybaby and his "anti-establishment" message(meanwhile he was from a suburb just outside of Pittsburgh that held 90% of the states wealth) for like 15 min between EVERY song

Very timely review, given that Rolling Stone exposé that just came out yesterday. I enjoy hearing their mediocre music put on blast. These guys are even worse people than I thought, and I can't say the rest of the band didn't know anything. BTW, I'm a little sad you missed a perfect opportunity to make a "Whoa on the Whoas" reference :/

A friend of mine told me years ago, his buddy went to interview some band that was on tour with Anti-Flag. The interviewer brought his 15 year old brother. The band they interviewed offered them a beer. Justin Sane passed by and saw the kid drinking, he went to get security and got them thrown out the show. Justin was on my friend's shitlist since

I've been following Anti-flag since Underground Network and I think they were a great band with Chris #2 as one of the greatest bass players in the game.
Their last album is one of the best production wise and I am a musician and a recording engineer.
These days hate and dislikes work better than nuanced and complex opinions. It's easier to talk shit about everything and catch more views because people wants something to direct their frustrations to.
I wonder how many of the people here in the comments could even write a song.

I thought they were a great band, and then the Terror State came out. I thought it was awful and hated the direction they were headed in. Sure enough they continued in that direction. Their messages and lyrics were still cool, but they lost their edge. It's like their balls were cut off.
