You know what the craziest part of this story is? The mom is divorcing the dad because she thinks it's the family curse that killed her baby, when it's actually her negligence that caused it.

I saw a theory once that said "the curse is not real, its just something that came from the grieving mind of Edith Finch".
In essence, the family let the "curse" take hold of their life and mind, to the point that everyone on the family expected to die and just.. didn't care?
Some deaths are just accidental but a few are pure negligence.
Was it the curse thar built the child swing on a cliff? Or was it a stupid negligent decision?. Did the curse drown the baby or was it a mother's neglect.
Even the poem of how they say "the baby was probably happy in his last moments, so you should be happy too" when referring to how "it wasn't her fault, it was the curse" just puts more weight on the idea that they are just numb to it because its all that darn curse and not their fault.

One thing that the video talks about is how the curse of the family boils down to them being irresponsible and blaming fate instead of taking responsabilities.

You can't let your eyes off of kids that young unless you know they're enclosed in a room with 4 walls, not on something they can can fall out of and with furniture that is nailed to the wall, lots of kids die from furniture not nailed to the wall that fall on the like tv, dressers... better yet have no heavy furniture in their room till they're old enough.
