“I’ve been watching you guys for four years!”
Matt: do i tell him it’s only been 2?
it has certainly been longer than two years....back when Matt filmed it all himself on his
phone
@@mattthatsme8799 Their oldest video was March 28 2019, so unless we're splitting hairs, that's about 2 years ago. Getting close to 3, but still 2 -- and definitely not 4
Am I the only one that reflexively leans away from the down side of the hill while they're trying to pull these vehicles out of the fire? You guys are amazing!
Can confirm. We are from Connecticut :-)
@@A_Dirrty_Bird Cheers mate, appreciate the support! Assuming the B5 Passat is no more??
@@ianfien7372 we have lurked the channel for a while now! We may or may not have an episode of a series soon that could have used Matts help, very very badly. Even took place not too far away when we were visiting Colorado 😑
Good thing you guys go on a lot of rescues or Lizzy would never get any sleep...
I'm up at 4:30am and take a nap after work. If I stopped moving I'm sure I would be like Lizzie.
I was taking my daughter to her prom, driving through Eureka, Utah, when we saw a woman frantically waving for help. She was sobbing. She and her husband were in the military and had been transferred. They were pulling their trailer behind their Jeep, heading for Tooele, Utah. Followed the GPS off-highway and up a box canyon in a spring blizzard. Got stuck. I said I'd go up and rescue them. Had no problem reaching them in my XTerra, but when I turned around I totally forgot that there is always a ditch on the low side of mountain trails like that. Sunk my back wheels into the snow. Ended up hiking back down to the highway with the husband and my FURIOUS daughter, who was wearing her prom dress LOL!
The happiest bunch of guys came and pulled us all out. They were having way too much fun. As well they should. The recovery was $1000. I split the cost with the family who originally got stuck since half the time was spent rescuing my stupid ass. Anyway, that's my daughter's prom night memory. We don't talk about it.
@@Greenhelix5 never follow the GPS. My prom 18 inches of snow had fallen in 24hrs and was blowing as only Southern Utah can.
She will never forget it! On the plus side you didn't have to worry about her coming home compromised it's a win win😂😂
@@ChalkyHonky Compromised? That's a weird term to use..
Love the channel ! My suggestion: It sometimes isn't clear for the viewer how much time you spend on the road. Maybe you can add an estimation of the 'total trip time' on the screen when arriving on site ? What do you guys think ?
Like each call... When Ed is doing the recap.. Roll "total trip time" at the bottom
We are fans from CT who have never been to Hurricane, Utah but have had Hurricanes come to us. Our two year old can correctly identify Jeep’s in parking lots because of your show. He also starts yelling “pull” at the appropriate moment which is of course just so adorable! Keep up the good work!
Pretty impressive how the Moorvair pulls stuff out , made that rescue look easy for the conditions..
Failed the pull in my opinion.
It was a noisy anchor attached to a Toyota.
Now let's talk about those 1500 different commands shouted......Wo wo wo,,Stop, that's good,no no no,keep pulling!! No wonder Matt got out to ask Rudy's opinion😂🤣
It’s the rope not the car. The car helps to get to these places but the rope does the majority of the work.
@Iron *Fe* did I say anything about this job? I know how kinetic and static ropes work. I use kinetic, dynamic and static ropes daily in my line of work
@Iron *Fe* not true that the vehicle is what’s doing the work it’s the speed and rebound of the energy that makes the stuck vehicle get moving. The recovery vehicle could be anything that will get to where you need it to be. You could use horses if you had enough of them to create enough energy to “pop” the vehicle and get it moving
Hey Matt, you really have a great instinctive sense of car balance on steep inclines.
MATT!! Good catch! A lady who goes on the trails and enjoys it.......with the bonus of she likes deer hunting!? 🏆
Seriously you guy's seem like very good people. I truly enjoy your videos.
Seeing those pups run and enjoy themselves is a bonus also.
Great videos!
Keep'em coming!
I sit at a desk all day and hate my job and these guys get to do this fun stuff all day. I'm jealous.
Yes you have Fans in Connecticut!!! Really want to travel out just to get stuck and meet you guys. Keep up the great work
Or you can just stop by the shop…save you a few bucks so you can purchase some merch! 🧢 👕
Another CT fan here, lived in UT 10 years and know much of this terrain, so watching is a little bit of nostalgia for me
“Jack And Diane” was by John Mellencamp . Titanic was Jack and Rose .
That's true. Jack and Diane were sucking on chili dogs outside the Tastyfreeze. It was a little ditty 🤪
If you're able to correct anyone with the exact line, in the exact move, word for word, scene and emotional state at that moment........smh you spend entirety much time in front of the TV.
The outside world is more dramatic, a better movie..
I'm from Connecticut and also a fan of 4Runners which is why i clicked on this video!
I love the honesty 😂
The problem isn’t the range, it’s the fact that I don’t ever fill it up. So it’s unreasonable to assume that I would behave differently with the gas cans.
"So we got a call ... " always brings a smile to my face when I see the notification for this channel
Yes I'm from CT and I love watching your shows I've been a fan from day one good work guys are the best
I've seen "the banana" around over the years here in Utah, and would love to meet you guys-but preferably not because I end up having to be a client. LOVE the channel. I think watching these recoveries is not only great entertainment but helps remind me of what NOT to do. It kind of helps keep me out of that category.
I have to admit I have sought out some of the areas you've been to for recoveries because they look fun but I think it balances...
I've been holding off watching for like 6 months only to be able to go hard with the binge-watching of MORR! And I love it! You guys are blessed, to have an adventurous job with great people, its good of ya'll to share it with us :)
im from connecticut a firefighter and an Aircraft mechanic on corporate jets, love watching your videos after a long day wrenching on aircraft. appreciate the content and the wholesomeness from the entire crew. if you love your job are you really working? be safe and work smarter not harder!
This was such a smart pull! It wasn't obvious to me at the beginning, but halfway through I understood the physics and the intent of what they were doing - that was both smart and not nearly as dicey as it looked.
@@jefffarrar7969 - I suspect the thesis was to have the rear come around (if necessary) to avoid the next 10 degrees or whatever it would have taken to really make a rollover possible. Seemed like a pretty good risk hedge to me - although I’m guessing he wasn’t planning on getting even close to the possibility of a rollover (especially with his unbelted son in there). Would be really cool to see all the vectors on one of these rescues!
@@anthonymrskipt9252 yes it will!! highly speculative but it seems the resultant Vector is pointing towards the side of the hill, the ground, so the 4Runner could actually be pressed down on the front axle. Notice when Matt picks up the throttle once it start getting hairy to keep the Toyota pinned down. This is a high skill recovery indeed, I think it was far away from tipping.
@@jefffarrar7969 As someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, I think they should've had the Toyota in 2wd to swing the back down the hill more, straightening it out to reduce the risk of tipping. Now back to my armchair of hindsight.
@@nonconsensualopinion
That only works for limited slip diffs or locking diffs... where both wheels on the axle are driven simultaneously...and act like a go kart, skidding sideways....and this had neither.
Notice that even in 4wd, only the driver's side wheels were spinning uselessly...neither of the passenger side wheels appeared to be getting powered...open diffs relying on electronic wheels braking for "4wd"?
4wd with open diffs on both axles=2wd.
LSD/locker on rear=3wd
LSD/locker on front=4wd
Locking centre diff also engaged= real 4wd.

Yes this T4R has Multi terrain system (MTS). In 4wd low traction control automatically goes off, set MTS to Sand. Also you can switch A-trac on in Sand mode, which utilizes wheel breaks to control spins for optimal traction. Or just use Crawl control. The spinning wheels at 9:07 on video is showing me is that A-trac is off.
That barracks trail is no joke. I almost got stuck on that sand hill too. Good to know I could have called you guys!
The sound of that Corvair under load is pure music to my ears. Could listen to that all day! Love your Chanel. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍
Man, the Moorvair sounds awesome during the pull. Powerful beast!
I'v heard of land yachts but this One sounds like a tug boat in action, and I mean that as a compliment....
You know it's sketchy when Matt puts Rudy in the customer's car instead of Lizzie. Notice how Matt always fills up when Jaymie comes along... as she is his emergency fuel supply...
Being stranded in the middle of nowhere isn’t scary, but being stranded when your wife is along is a nightmare
Protector, provider instincts kicking in with wife and/or kids along. Rudy doesn’t count he’s has already left the nest. 😀
Lizzy can do that now that she seen just how far and how a vehicle on a tether works on an incline.
Rudy as he stated "had been on and driven through worse" that is why Mat put him in and why he made sure Lizzy could watch. Next time is her turn and she has been at a steep angle once before, i forget which video it was though.
Running out of gas and gas station food runs are the best parts of these videos!
It never ceases to amaze me where people will take street vehicles, thinking they are off-road vehicles.
MATT YOU DEFINITELY HAVE A FAN FROM CONNECTICUT!!!!!!! LIVED HERE MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!! LOVE UR SHOW !!!!!xoxoxoxoxoxo keep doing what ur doing so happy to be watching u this morning !!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗😎😎😎😎😎🤪🤪🤪🤪
That used to be my family’s land! The Lone Ranger was filmed there also
One of those mythical fans from CT here. Love your guys channel. Watch it all the time. Thanks!
I'm from KittyCat, but now I'm a Florida man, this is the kind of job I'd want, where every outing is an adventure with family and friends!
Wow! Those side hill rescues really demonstrate the skill and experience required to do it safely! The customers were smart to call MORR!
Jamie’s momma bear instincts kicked in to save Rudy
Might be that her “Auntie” bear instincts were why Rudy was in there rather than Lizzy!
Rudy wasn't able to put the seat belt on, due to the angle. I can understand her concern with a roll over. But they had it. Great recovery.
I've watched quite a few of your videos old and new. I'm astonished at what you've learned in just 2 years. You've improved on all of your rescue techniques. You've much improved on your vids. You've improved on all of your vehicles and your rescue equipment as well. It might not mean much to you but I'm very impressed at the accumulation of knowledge you've acquired in the simi-short time you've done all this. It's interesting to see the progression. Keep moving forward and keep savin folks out there.
You know your wife is awesome when she declares the reason she is going with you is to see if the Deer are moving in preparation of hunting season.
Drinking my morning coffee while watching off-road recoveries 😍☕️ nothing better 🖤🖤
Hey, I'm in Connecticut. I spent years doing geology work in that area. Love your channel. Great combination of off-roading plus great scenery!
My dad's a (retired) chemist/geologist/metallurgist. We surveyed all over Montana when I was a kid and then ended up in Utah when I was between 10 and 18. It's such a beautiful state.
What a beautiful 4Runner, glad to see he’s really using it as intended.
I absolutely love your show. The relationship you have with your oldest son and family is just incredible. Actually, you are all 1 big family to us! God bless you guys for such clean entertainment which is just so hard to find anymore.
5:12 editing was top notch. Ariel drone footage, music, and off-roading-badass!
I was about to comment that the production on this is freakin network TV ffs!
Thank you so much for always translating on screen the temperature in Fahrenheit into Celsius. It is really helpful, i'm even at last able to remember how the translation works. 60F is a bit chilly (15C) yet 70F is already something else (20C). Learning how to use degrees F with Lizzie, Ed and Jaimee! :)
I am from Ct. all my life 58 years and love watching you guys Ed
Hahaha! Rudy REALLY wanted that seat belt to work!!! This episode was fun! Thxs!
That was one of the slickest recoveries I have watch these guys do.
Seriously though, i doth my cap to the editor of this video. The filmography is phenomenal from you guys right now.
Plus how amazing is the Matt and Rudy teamwork!
Stay awesome!!
A pilot once told me "The only time you have too much fuel...is when your on fire". Lol!
That Corvair is a beast. Dragging a fully loaded 4 runner though knee deep loose sand. Wow.
It is a great vehicle but tires and air pressure have alot to do with it. The same exact vehicle wouldnt do squat with shitty tires
Haha lizzy is the one with the proper footwear for the job! Always wear your boots at work!
I'm from Connecticut and I've been binge watching for months. My new life goal is to drive a rented Prius or other 2 wheeled vehicle with California plates into Sand Hallow on a hot day just to get a T-Shirt. Rock on MORR.
Love seeing the affection in Matt's eyes when Jamie said it's sketchy
That was one of the best recoveries I seen you do because your film editing is getting much better, as you're adding in other interesting views from the drone and both rigs. Well done boys !
I noticed the big step up in production quality on this one. The montage on the trail on the way out to the 4runner was unbelievable. Great stuff.
I agree with everyone your family employee's included are priceless ! You are living the American dream and we get to ride along with you! I do love the wholesome clean family content you constantly produce with you channel ! Yes protect Lizzy from sketchy situations like this one ! We love her so much she is like the icing on the cake with your tow's! Then you have the Boss as well she is a beauty too!
This just proves how badass a 4runner is, unlike these ford trucks that get shut down by a pebble on the road, look how much it took to get a 4runner stuck.
It was sketchy for some but Matt and Rudy have experience and skill…fun to watch!👏🏻
I love lizzy and Trevor's chemistry. They go so well together. Equally as goofy and love to laugh and have fun.
Yea! I couldn't agree more. Trevor is the serious kind of goofy person. He looks and sounds serious but can goof around, no shame what so ever.
Lizzy is the super happy almost childish and you hit the nail on the head, their chemistry is insanely good!
Can Lizzie fall asleep anywhere?
Great channel guys. I love watching the chemistry that the group has.
I’m from Connecticut….thanks for using our ropes! 👍
That made my palms sweaty! That looked so steep! You guys rock excellent rescue!!
Beautiful scenery and wonderfully edited. Expertly executed recovery. From the recovery itself to the final touches of editing you have an amazing crew. Just incredible. Absolutely love you guys. Keep safe and God bless.
Hope you take it OK, but your wife is a hor chick. Just has that all around attractive appeal. It seems to drizzle down to the younger chick. Just say'n. A friend told me and I'm just passing it on.
Not from Connecticut but right next door in Rhode Island, and I watch your videos all the time. Waiting for operation golden nugget.
Rudy is fearless. I'm man envious of his fearlessness. Sheesh.
Matt , the Flowmaster, Hushpower mufflers on the Morrvair sound fantastic under load.
You built a fantastic tow recovery rig !
Now that’s knowing your stuff !!! Good job guys an gals !! My heart was in my mouth but you guys stayed cool and calm with skill and know how. Soooo good to watch 👍
I wish that CZcams had a button for more than a like. Your videos never disappoint me, thanks for all your team.
The "let jack die" Titanic reference made my day. Reminded me of one of my favorite Bill Burr skits, just without the profanity.
Jeez, that Corvair is a monster.
Jayme I would have been a ball of nerves too if that had been one of my sons in that vehicle. Matt it just dawned on me why you always stop to get snacks at a gas station. You are worried you are going to run out of gas and not have any food to survive on. But what I don't understand is why you don't top off the tank while you are there so you don't run out 🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding Matt 😁😂💞
Stay Happy 😂 Safe and Healthy everyone 💕
This was an incredibly enjoyable video. Content, editing, camera work, plus all the typical MORR shenanigan's.
Whooo what a video!!! Way to Go MORR Team!!! 😎 Guess the next recovery vehicle won't be called the Pineapple 🍍
It’s always so good seeing a husband and wife team in business.
Good Lord matt! my confidence for your team is sky high but that recovery made my butt sweat a little. So happy everyone is safe!
I feel like not nearly enough people understood Trevor's "my sock was just in the sand" comment. That made me laugh so hard!
@@TJ-sp4gy it was an observation based on the lack of comments about it

You have to admit, its kind of cool when both vehicles are in a synchronized drift, running sideways on the hill.
Kinda like they're dance partners. Plus, if there was ever any danger of the tow vehicle tipping over,
Lizzie woulda jumped in behind the steering wheel.
4:33 Lizzy always taking her cat naps to recover from the morning hustle (feeding her cows and horses before sunrise) she's such a hard worker and adorable at the same time.

Great vlog and at the same time scary, not sketchy. I liked how you guys were confident, especially Rudy and Matt. I've been watching your vlogs for 2 years now. Never got bored. Keep going
I could listen to the Morvair rumble all day long!! It sounds great.
almost a year later, but I'm from Connecticut. just discovered the channel recently and I cant stop watching
That TRD Pro has a locking rear diff, which doesn't seem to be engaged, and A-Trac which when engaged essentially locks the front. Pushing those two buttons would have made a world of difference, with all four wheels receiving power.
I don't think the 4runners have locking rear diff to be honest, the new Tundra will, and the Tacoma does.
Crawl control alone once it was turned probably would have gotten it out of there
@@bettysmith4527 the regular 4 runners don't, the TRD PRO version does I believe
