  • Acknowledged internationally as the most influential oral historian of the last quarter century, Professor Alessandro Portelli, University of Rome, sat down with Canada's History Society to share his approach to oral history. In this video he speaks to three key components of oral history: co-authoring stories, establishing trust, and sources and misremembering. Dr. Alessandro Portelli received the 2015 H. Sanford Riley Fellowship in Canadian History, an integral component of the Riley Centre for Canadian History at the University of Winnipeg.
