With Portsmouth's recent record of 3 loses 1 draw and 1 win it looks really possible for us to be in with a fight for automatic promotion which is fantastic. Brilliant 3 points again but for us to go from 2 up to needing a 92nd minute winner my body wont last to the end of the season if this continues
And still top whilst us Boro and Bolton have had to keep winning to catch up. All teams can hit a poor run of form and then hit form again. Ipswich case in point last season.

@@halimmohayan2367 They didn't peak in my opinion, they were racking up points without blowing teams away, I was expecting them to go up a gear as we entered Jan and they strengthened in the market. But they've been poor for a few games and unable to grind out results. I still think they'll be battling for autos though. Barnsley are the ones we need to keep an eye on from below,, they are a second half season club in this league.

Our defence could cost us. We score plenty albeit its a team effort without the consistency we had with McGoldrick. Hopefully I can celebrate my 50th year as a Rams 🐏 fan next year in the championship ❤. Seen a lot since 1975 !

Portsmouth played one game more than us and we only trailing one point with them but Bolton have a game in hand against us so we've gotta keep the unbeaten run momentum going.

As I predicted, it's between Derby County, Peterborough United or Bolton Wanderers for the two automatic promotion spots, Portsmouth no longer in the equation.
Never like Peterborough so hopefully it's Derby and Bolton.
Great finish, we did do this the hard way but it was a certainly deserved win. We had all of the ball and made some great opportunities without scoring, and never let them in the game even at 2-2. I’d certainly be looking into that seddon, seemed like a serious player and a real quality at left back, not only going forward but also strong in the tackle. COYR

We were 2nd for about 5 minutes. Boys got the win which matters but this league is so close we can't afford these types of things and they've happened a few times now.
Burton are a better team than their league position would suggest.I think that this was a good win for Derby.20 games to go😊

I thought we played really well last night. The scoreline definitely flattered Burton, who didn’t come to play football and were allowed to kick our players all night. I don’t have any sympathy for them, but want them to stay up regardless. Referee once again in this league appalling, incredible he missed the foul right in front of him for the 3rd goal of the game, I think it would’ve ended 4-0 if he hadn’t. Right result though.

All the media speculation about the fact that Derby need a striker I find very redundant. Yet again Collins has scored despite almost constant criticism by the fans if he doesn't score in a match. With Derby's budget and the inflated cost of players especially strikers in January is it really worth the wages and transfer fee to bring in a player who may add possibly 5 goals. I don't disagree in the Summer we will need one because Collins probably won't be able to continue this form in the Championship (obviously it's an if we get promoted as well). I also get if he gets injured it will be trouble but we have 3 other strikers although JJ is 50/50 with whether he's going back and the other two injured. However, you don't disrupt a man whose in the form of his life with 17 goals in 34 matches in all competitions or 12 in 26 in the League either way you look at it its a goal every two matches on average which is 7th in League One and if we breakdown those players we have Alfie May who we tried to sign and ship has probably sailed now, Jordan Rhodes who is too old now to be any use in a few years time, Devante Cole I do rate but he's not going to leave Barnsley, Jamie Reid has always been prolific wherever he plays and that would be the striker I would sign maybe next season because I doubt Stevenage will actually get promoted and his aspirations may lie higher and he's just about at his peak now, Dion Charles is not going to leave Bolton for Derby makes no sense and finally Chris Martin although his stats are skewed due to less appearances but we all know what he can bring but would he come back probably but he is an almost identical player to the strikers already at the club and again is quite old. So unless we buy a player from the lower Championship but would be quite expensive especially the wages or we loan a Premier League/upper Championship youngster who will need time to bed in and a guarantee of game time we cannot provide unless JJ leaves I see a new striker as surplus to requirements. The only possible exception I would say is if we bring a high riser in League Two who is top 4 in that league as they are much of a muchness and will help us come unstuck against resilient defences a player like Langstaff at Notts County who is mid career and having the time of his life right now.

Collins is a curious player isn't he? I mean, he might just be the very best header in the league, but he is just so bad using his feet 😄. Either way, a goal is a gol and he is definitely getting his at the moment! And NML once again showing that he is essential to this team

Sloppy defending gave Burton two goals, Derby need to concentrate for 97 mins, elder and the rest of the defence have to take care to ensure they do not make mistakes.

Poor game management again. Leaving one-on-ones when all we needed to do was close the game out. Seddon looked a player but we won't be bidding on him. We have to be mechanical at times; 2 banks of 4 and shut teams out. Well played BAFC and good luck staying up; I'm sure you'll be fine.
