Spent 3 weeks in Castlegregory in 1976 in a mobile-home park during the 76 global warming incident. 3 weeks in Waterville in 1978, I would count them as the best holidays of my childhood I was 9 and 11, was all Irish colleges after that. Been back many a time and I will say modernization has definitely taken away the charm.Thanks.
outside The Lobster in Waterville on the walls of the Butler Arms with Keatings up the road.. things have changed dramatically since then.. there was much hardship but it's also difficult to articulate just how beautiful the world looked to my 7 year old eyes back then
Who would have imagined that was only 1986. It seems so antiquated. In many respects the 1980s were a difficult decade in Ireland imo.
