- The hidden valley, AKA Tregargus valley, near St Austell, Cornwall is a great little walk for all. Its very accessible and a great path throughout the woodlands. The waterfall is so much bigger and faster flowing than I expected, and I went at a pretty dry time of year, although getting right up to it can be a little tricky.
The disused buildings are very interesting to look at, and also they're just off the path so very easy to get to. The water wheel at the far end of the valley is blocked off, I'm guessing for safety, it does look a bit worse for wear but still a lovely thing to see.

Dear Char, the hidden valley reminded me a bit of a valley near me. It was also formed by a stream or river.
