I love skinny jeans for the reason you mentioned. I'm curvy and skinny jeans were the first type of jeans to fit over my hips without gaping at the back of my 10in less waist. I'll still upcycle my old ones
I know this struggle, I have a UK size 4 waist and size 10-12 hips. I get mom jeans because I find them more flattering for me but I always have to get the waist taken in.

Same! Always hated pants! Can’t wear em unless it’s leggings. I’ve hated them since I was 3 & my mom put me in jeans & I lost my mind bc I thought they were so uncomfortable & hot & felt like you could see my private bc they were so tight. I’ve always been southern fried thicc & it’s always so hard to find anything comfy. I do consider myself lucky I live in the south & can wear Flowy shorts & skirts & dresses 9 months out of the year. I’m glad I’m not the only one. All my friends just throw on jeans & I’m like how to you bend your joints in those things?!

Sorry but my body frame is made for skinny jeans! I need stretch and some wide legs and straight legs don’t give me that option. I believe in wearing what you love and what looks good on your own body! 💕

The bell bottoms came out so good. I gave up skinny jeans last year, they are just so uncomfortable even though they are only style that fits my waist and hips. I've been wearing boyfriend fit jeans and oversized vintage Levis and I feel so free lol

Yes! I just added a V panel to the side of a black skinny pair I had. But I'm keeping a skinny pair as is just because they look good with some of my favourite shoes.

I love this video! I remember my first pair of skinny jeans. When they ripped I turned them into a skirt because I loved the fit of the waist and hips so much, I couldn't let them go! Such great ideas to upcycle, the wrap skirt is so beautiful and the jumper dress at the end just blew my mind! I am excited to harvest my jeans. 😃

Haha the many iterations of my pants - half of my skinny jeans used to be wide legged and I turned them into skinny jeans years ago - now I will be changing them again. It makes me feel connected with our fashion minded ancestors. Studying historical dresses you can see how common it was for women to remake their gowns to follow the changing styles.
Yeah, skinny jeans are canceled until next year when the designers decide to bring them back. I wear what I want, I don't care who claims it's canceled!! 😁

I love everything about this channel! I never wore skinny jeans lol, I was about nine and didn't care. It was bell bottoms and straight legs for me all the way, and now that I seem to have summoned hips out of the void, I just sewed a couple darts in the back to get them to fit. That's why I love sewing!

I too, am so excited that they're "out" (they're just uncomfortable to me). I've been gifted a few pairs over the years but never bought a pair myself. Until this week. I found a pair of 100% cotton, black denim skinny jeans at the thrift store and I am sooooo excited to upcycle that fabric

Such creative and cool ideas! I have one for you guys - colouring your jeans in the washing machine. I have done it when I wanted a different colour on my jeans and did'nt want to buy a new pair. And maby two tones of jeans can look like one solid with the colouring.
