- I have two cross-training days scheduled per week for my new 50k ultra training program. About a decade ago, I owned a bicycle trainer which sat rusting on my patio in our old apartment. I ended up throwing it out in the trash when moving to a new house....It was one of my biggest regrets! (It was like when I was nine and "too old" for army men....I had tossed them all in the dumpster, only to cry the next day!). Well, I finally bought another bike trainer; the Blue Matic, from Tacx, a company out of the Netherlands.
After checking with my favorite bike store in Changhua, Taiwan, I ended up purchasing the only one they had in stock. I rode a mountain bike over there to get the axle changed so that it was strong enough to be held by the trainer. (BTW: I have another bike which I use outside). I stopped by later with my car to pick up the unit. The box is not very large and will easily fit in your trunk or back seat.
After bringing it up five flights of steps, along with the bike, the set up was super-easy. You just clamp it in, set the fly-wheel, and your resistance lever, and your are off to the races...Well, training for the races. It has ten different resistance settings and allows for smooth pedaling. I set up an I-Pod stand so that I could watch virtual cycling scenery....I just have to figure out how to download the videos, because I can't receive a Wifi signal on the 4th floor unless I get a booster.

I got this for free from a stranger today👍😊God is good
NOTE: Remember to keep your tires inflated! Otherwise you will not be able to set any resistance!
Replacing with indoor tire will lessen the noise.
done
Wrong tire. You must acquire the tacx 26 training tire to roll smooth and silently. You’ll get better results.
Yes, thx; I've already addressed the situation by switching to a road tire.
If I can ask some advice:
1. I have a Tacx Bushido. It may break soon.
All I want to do is spin on a Turbo using the gears as resistance. I don't need a monitor system.
2. I want a turbo which is compact to fold up like the Bushido. The Flux is huge. I have limited space.
3. I don't want to pay a monthly fee to use an app. My Garmin watch is fine.
4. I am a complete novice and only use the Turbo twice a week in the winter max.
Which turbo do I buy?.
My Bushido is perfect. I wish they would make more .
Thanks
hey, what about the adjustable disc under the breaking unit? how much do you have to adjust it?
How to mount rear wheel if I don't have special screws , it's stacks , I can show you my problem maybe you can help me , I know that's for 99 percent obvious but not for amateur like me, thanks hope you contact me
Excuse me I have blue twiset trainer
The power its 374
We cant go to up , what i will do plz
Hi, is it foldable for storage?
Yes, the silver legs fold inward.
So, did your wife hear the noise downstairs?
Newbee question. Can i used it for MTB and my mtb is quick release will that be okay or do i need to change it to through axl? Tnx
If you use a mountain bike, you'll get a reverberation noise, but it still works. I think your quick release should work if there is room to enclose the release lever. I had to change mine to the enclosed steel axle rod because I had plastic nut ends on the rear dropout.
@@runnersgarden thank you. I bought it already and tried it. But unfortunately my 27.5 mtb wheel is to big and it wont fit. I checked online and i must changed the tire for a tacx training tire. Luckily i have a spare small mtb and it fits well.
@@aberamer1306 you do not necessarily need a tacx training tire. I'm glad it worked out for you.
Hi Where did you get this from And what wheels Does it take
From Mr Jackson
Giant Bike Store in Changhua, Taiwan. Any regular road bike should fit.
absolute garbage. I wouldn't recommend this trainer to my worst enemy!
It isn't smooth at all. I don't know if all magnetics are like this,
but my old cycleops fluid trainer was totally smooth and had even
resistance all the way around. The flex in the legs, when you clamp
down your axle, seems a bit much as well. I guess you really get what
you pay for with these things :-/
