Well I installed the kit and now it seems like I have more takeoff power but less top end speed (I can only get it up to 40mph now, before it was 42-45 mph). So now I need to determine if I just need to remove it or keep it.

  • @wellnessworldshop

I tried to get fancy and tap into a wire for power that was not being used (pink wire) and even used a new connector from the pin/connector kit i got from you guys. I measured the wire with key off and it was 0V; measured with key on and it was 11.27V...so I figured it would work so I don't have to use the blue splicer....when I went to turn key on and start it started but when I let go of start button it would cut off 😢.
So, then I knew it must need a higher voltage or something and decided to follow your instructions and use the blue splicer at black wire with green stripe.
    It works!!!! Lol 😂
Now time to tune with my variator weights!
I live in LA County but I live where there is lots of hills. Gonna start with the 5.5g, then try other combinations.
With lots of hills, happen to have recommendations for weight set up?

"There is a little controversy about which wire to use since it seems that you will lose the kill switch. I just installed my yesterday. and rather than going to the red w/green strip I went ahead and tried out the black/white wire. It works, you will still have your kill switch function. " we personally have not tried this because we do not have GET 49cc ruckus anymore only Gy6 as our personal scooters. Feel free to try it and let us know. Personally I have ridden with a lot of riders and no one ever uses the kill switch we just turn off with the key. Well what else did you do to the scooter ? Because a CDI only removes rev limiter. You change oil , variator , exhaust , intake . If you got it from us and it’s a NCY CDI send us an email at info@theruckshop.com so we can help you tune the other parts you installed .

been using this cdi ten years now works great. doesnt ruin the harness at all. if you dont have a rev limiter anymore then it works. have a great day paul bunyun.

@@Theruckshop the harness gets ruined when you splice into it and than crimp those cheap electrical connectors on, over time they will work loose or rust out..than the wire is to short to add another connector on..

Paul this is a Ruckus not a space shuttle. Who give a F if you cut a wire and splice it in. If it's a concern don't do it.
