If your device is not certified by google you won't be able to enjoy a lot of Video streaming services in your phone like DSTV, Netflix etc.
There are many reasons why your Android phone can show device not certified on Google play store. From Google play store or Google play services app cache or not updating well (which happens in the background) or your phone OEM not doing proper documentation with Google, even some OTA updates can cause the device status to change to not certified.
One thing is certain, If you unlock your bootloader nowadays, your device status will be not certified likewise if you Root your phone.
Well, this video is for those who have installed custom recovery like TWRP, all you need is to flash Pixel Coral zip below to permanently fix to device not certified on play store.

I am afraid not. There's no custom developments for Android smart TVs so, this method won't work. I will advice you check if your smart TV can stream DSTV NOW and Netflix before buying

If the Android box is using twrp recovery, then you can use Magisk hide props to change your device OS, model and boot fingerprints

Download root checker from playstore and check

First, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 should be Google certified so may I know the exact model number that you are using. You also need to know if the phone's bootloader is still locked or whether the phone is rooted.

Since your phone is rooted and you don't know how it was, you can try rebooting into recovery and see if it has custom Recovery, that way, magisk will be properly installed

My problem is that the dstv is not playing on my laptop, i login well select the channel that i wanna watch the the screen become dark forever not saying what the problem is. but when i use someone else`s laptop to sign in it plays, i tried to fix it by clearing the google history but it didn`t help so i decided that the problem is on my laptop... if you have any idea how to fix it plz help.
Dstv wahala plenty o. I will suggest you uninstall chrome and and install the latest update of chrome. Dstv now always requires the latest browser version for security.

What model of Samsung A30 are you using? The phone is certified by Google. Maybe you should try relocking your bootloader

The first step is to find and install custom Recovery (like TWRP) in your phone. Without that this method is no go. I am not sure if Huawei even allows bootloader unlocking in Mate 30 pro. If they don't, then no way to install custom recovery at all

You can download a root checker app from playstore. Have you ever done System updates? Or factory reset? Factory reset can help you if your device is not rooted

Since you are already on custom Rom and most likely have magisk then try this method to make Google play store certified, that way Netflix will play without problems

Just download and flash magisk uninstaller zip. This means that you will lose root access until you flash magisk zip again to gain root access. Let me know if that helps

In rare occasion if your device was Registered by your OEM with Google but somehow lost the certification. You could wipe play store and play services app data and reboot. It could correct that in rare cases

If you are already on custom ROM, why not root? Boot fingerprint ID changes once you unlock bootloader so, re installing ROM won't help

I'm using twrp to flash but it fails every time, I get the message "Update process ended with ERROR: 1

I don't have an sd card though. Could that be the problem?

@@SmartDepot actually, using the original Magisk method with busybox, props hide, and Terminal, I now managed to pass Safety Net check: both basicintegrity ok and ctsProfile ok, and device is now certified in Play store, but Netflix is not showing! :( Please help?
If it is possible, install Netflix Apk from Apk pure or other good sources since your playstore is certified it should play. You can also go into magisk and use Magisk hide for Netflix or completely hide magisk so Netflix won't detect your device as rooted

My question: why does the "App settings" inside the Netflix app still show my actual real device name, and does not show the device I selected in Terminal??

The video and the method used in the video was tested on several Android devices and worked. It is not for Android TV. I'll do one for Android TV in the future

Sorry about that. I've recently started writing scripts for videos. Before now, I do the voice overs by heart. So when I have a lot to say, I tend to rush. But there are other videos I did about the same issue that could also help
