- It’s been a while since we posted Season 8 of Curator’s Corner, and in that time you guys have asked a lot of questions. An awful lot in fact!
So, we thought we’d try something new. We’ve invited some curators back to get you the answers you have been hankering after. It’s a kind of curator’s Q and A, and a Season 8 wrap up all in one.
Season 8 was pretty special because we got to travel to Japan, Iraq, Leicester and Highgate cemetery. And with almost all the films you wanted to know more. So…

Ask Japanese block print curator to go to Ai software to ask Ai image creator to recreate medieval Nipponese wood block prints with the varying gradations of White, greys, Black within the image...a future topic for lecture or curator's misgivings regards loss of craft in the alleged real world....

i understand why we use metals and stone to characterize ages but i feel like textile making, weaving, basketry, wattling, etc. must have been much more important to everyday material life and peoples basic life skill sets.
calling it “stone age” or “iron age” sort of skews the popular imagination in a way, i feel.
The bigger shield might give you an edge i think.Learned something new.
Maybe, but the smaller one would be easier to move around to get it between you and a weapon coming at you. I think it would also be easier to maneuver so you can take a weapon strike on the edge of the shield and deflect it
