NC State has that lethal combo of guards. 2 shooters and 1 creator/Penetrator... with the BIG BOY in the front court and a very UNDERRATED PF who cleans up the boards. And 2-3 bench guys who can get you 10-15 pts on a good night... team is scary and wouldn't shock me if they made a Final 4 run.

This was probably the most atrociously officiated game I’ve ever seen. Great effort by both teams to play through an absolutely repugnant showing by the refs.

Calling Middlebrooks for a foul when that Oakland player practically jumped him, missing the Oakland backcourt call near the end, and then calling Diarra for fouls when on at least two of them it was either all ball or he had hands up and didn’t even hit the shooter had me in fits. Seemed like the refs hated State all night.

It feels kinda surreal to root for a North Carolina-based team but, why not? They've won me over with this insane postseason run they're on and with Kentucky gone, I've got nothing to lose. NC State for national champs!
I'm in Moldova and depend on good highlights because I can't get the games. How do you have highlights that cut from a minute left in the game to 3 minutes left in OT? It would be nice to see how regulation ended. I'm an Auburn grad, but NCSU it's my 2nd team after living in Wake Forest and Raleigh for almost a decade.

This not the first time two lower seeded team faced off in the 2nd round after pulling upsets, i remember it happing a couple of other times.
People keep talking about the refs but really we need announcers that know more about the rules cause they created the narrative that the refs were making bad calls before they even made any

@@hdelano11 your comment proves that the announcers didn’t help explaining that call well even though the Nc State player tip the ball he did not influence the direction of the ball or jar it out of the Oaklands players hand before he released it if the Oakland player had completely let go of the ball with both hands before it touched the NC State player or if the NC State player continued to touch the ball through the full follow through of the pass then Oakland would have the ball out of bounds

Oakland gave them boys all that they could handle. GG by both teams.
So for the Kentucky fans that are going to come watch this. The only thing NC State did better than Kentucky (THAT WAS IN THEIR CONTROL) was rebound the ball Kentucky loss the rebound battle by 1, NC State won it by 14. Also on Offense NC State stuck with running the offense through the big. For Kentucky this would have been Tre which they did on the first possession and scored. I expected the plan to be have DJ attack to collapse the defense then kick or be ready for the offensive reb. When Reed was in have Tre at the high post let the defense crash and kick to the open 3. I trust Cal to have made an effective game plan, which is evident in the only looks we got we just missed the shots we normally make🤷🏿♂️

If you’re coming here to complain about the scoreboard and say it was rigged, let me lay it out for you. Oakland initially got points for an NC 3 at 2:10. When Oakland got the next 3 at 2:17, the points were added to NC state to make up for the initial mistake. Scoreboard was correct from that moment on.

Go back and watch it again...I'm a state fan and originally thought we caught a break but after 2nd replay, you can see the Oakland player still pushing the ball after it hit Diarra's pinky.

When the score was 15-17, Lampman (Oakland) hits a three. But the score shows the 3 pts went to NC State to make it 15-20 when it should have been 18-17. Did this ever get corrected?
The shot right before that, points were given to Oakland for an NC shot so, yes, it was fixed, but terrible work by whoever was updating the points.

This game shouldn’t count the scoreboard was off
It was fixed within a minute, confusingly, I’ll admit. Oakland got the points for an NC 3 and then instead of fixing it immediately, they waited until Oakland got a 3 and added that 3 to NC state. So the scoreboard was correct after that, but very confusing to watch.
