This song came out during my divorce and it made me bawl every time it came on. Crazy the emotions music makes us feel when someone talented creates a song like this.
You never really realize that you miss someone until it comes into your mind that they are REALLY out of your grasp. Been in love with this girl since I was a kid, and always told myself I'd meet up with her and try to finally sweep her off her feet. She was one of my best childhood friends. Even now, she doesn't hesitate to talk if I'm in need of advice. She was absolutely perfect, giving, beautiful, trusting, smart, and the most importantly she had the kind of compassion that would make even the most loose men fall in love. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, she'd be swept up and taken as a future bride to a great guy that isn't me. For a while, when I found out it blasted a hole in my heart, but surely, over time, I'll get over it.

that was me, until it wasn’t because my feelings for my ex came back full swing and i think it’s bad enough that i have to break up with my boyfriend (it’s already a toxic relationship). now i make eye contact with my ex sometimes and i just wonder if he has any clue how hopelessly i fell for him, he probably thinks i hate him, because when they asked me how i’m doing, i said i was doing just fine, i lied and said that he’s not on my mind. i made it seem like i held a grudge because i didn’t want them to realize i actually still had feelings. i don’t know why i let myself get into a relationship while in that state. today is my ex’s birthday. god i miss him.
