Corridos Fronterizos pt. 2, Ciipriano Vigil

The border ballads or corridos of New Mexico and Chihuahua presented in a concert in Albuquerque by Enrique Lamadrid, Chuy Martinez. Part 2 is the presentation of the northern New Mexico musician, Cipriano Vigil. This is part of the ongoing 'Lo Maduro de Nuestra Cultura' series of the Albuquerque Museum, May, 1996.

He was my teacher for years at Northern New Mexico Collage in Espanola, N.M. Great teacher and a wonderful friend.
He taught music to thousands of students from very young to pretty damm ol....me!
In Northern New Mexico he is a living legend to all kinds of musicians young and old, here and gone, New Mexico and a greater part of the American southwest.
His music is not Mexican music but a smaller genre called Northern New Mexico music that also includes the border area between N. M, and southern Colorado. If you can find it the best way is via Cipriano Vigil, music, northern N.M.
He is a great person and musician, may he live far beyond his time and place here on earth.
