Adolis Garcia had a tough series, but his HR was a game changer. It gave us momentum. Thats why I love Garcia, he could go 4-4 with 4 HRs or 0-4 with 4 Ks, but he will always make the momentum changing play that will give us the W. Absolute Stud.
Carter’s ability to see the ball that well mixed with great power at 21 is insane
I'm sure building a shiny new stadium in the same location will draw huge crowds for the Rays in the future and not be a total failure by failing to address the main reason so few people actually attend games.
What's the main reason they can't draw a crowd? Legit question btw, I'm not super familiar with the Rays stadium situation other than how everyone hates on Tropicana field.
The Trop is not at a central location it is in St. Pete and the area is really ghetto.

TB Rays philosophy of complete reliance on analytics, platoons, matchups, bullpen games, using 10 relievers per game, constantly changing lineups is great for regular season but just doesn't translate to short playoff series success. Never has and never will. Will never in a million years win a championship with that formula.

Orioles/Rangers should be a high scoring series. As an O’s fan, I wanted TB since we knew their pitchers so well and they had so many big players out due to injury. But, if we’re gonna get to the WS, we need to earn it by beating the better team. OPACY is gonna be rockin! I was there last playoffs in 2014, and it was insane. Just search 2014 ALDS game 2. Gonna be a fun series.

Baseball is Variance. The brutal reality is that both these teams are +\- 12 wins due to Variance and the Rangers 90 wins belied their offensive talent because if they get back half the 9th inning blown saves they got and they’re a 98 win team. Baseball is controlled more by external factors (the hitter and pitchers skill) than any professional sport. Elevation, relative humidity, whether its a day or night game, field dimensions, sunshine, clouds. Home plate officials, the production of the baseballs, the production of the bat. Just so many little things even down to the way the grass is pointing (where balls bounce when they hit said grass). Just so many damn variables that affect short-term results and skew long term projections

There was nothing excellent about this season, my spirit was crushed when we were still the best team in baseball when drew rasmuessen and McClannahan both got announced for TJ in the same week, same season after springs went down too, and the franco situation brought it down even more, really even excluding the playoff loss, this was probably the worst 99 win season for a team in history

Orioles/Rangers - split the season series, each team taking 2 of 3 on the road. TEX outscored the O’s in runs overall. I predict a somewhat high scoring series, going the full 5 games, with Baltimore winning a close one. Looking for storylines, Jonah Heim was a former Orioles prospect drafted by the O’s. I’m sure there’s more storylines in this series, we’ll find out. But it should be entertaining. I still can’t believe my Orioles are a 1 seed…it feels weird…but feels great! Here’s to a fun series
