The Story of Imam Hussain
Imam Hussain is the grandson of Prophet Mohammed and the son of both Imam Ali and Lady Fatima. Prophet Mohammed adored him and credited him with a number of important merits during his life. However some 50 years later he was brutally massacreded.
Imam Hussain was killed on the 10th day of Muharram, known as the day of Ashura. The day of Ashura is mourned by millions of Muslims around the world and is held in special regard for most Muslims for other reasons.
