"Foamstars is at odds with itself. Its unexpectedly engaging combat mechanics, fast-paced matches, and cool music draw me in, but trudging through its flat single-player content, concerningly aggressive monetization, and horrendously slow menus has numbered Foamstars’ days on my PS5 hard drive. I also feel like I’ve already seen everything it has to offer, and its announced update plan looks glacially slow for a sink-or-swim multiplayer landscape currently full of great options. Foamstars’ ranked modes and maps may be exciting and nuanced mid-match, but the confounding time-gated queues around them don’t offer much motivation to grind up the ladder, which leaves me with very little reason to surf these bubbly waves no matter how much fun it may be." - Hry

This game is super fun, but $45 for a skin pack is insane. Means I'm never giving them a penny. Also it's hurt by not being multiplatform

Its square enix so ill give it 11 months. At 9th month they will "promise more content coming soon" and 10th month they announce shutting down servers. Another square enix scam of taking money and not giving refunds for making the game unusable.

This game is fun in short bursts, kinda like a palate cleanser. Idk if ive gotten bad luck but sometimes my team just gets steamrolled easily, many times in different matches
The overwatch effect states that 40% of matches between relatively similarly skilled players will end in one team getting steamrolled
@@WinterGoBrrrwhat you've stated doesn't even exist, however, the large majority of pvp online games are PLAGUED WITH CHEATERS LIKE A DISEASE and that is KILLING ONLINE PVP CAUSING HUGE PLAYER COUNT LOSSES
did they make the game modes time limited because thet were afraid the playerbase is gonna be too small to keep them all open at the same time?
Foam should increase your speed and it should build up faster. The bp and shop should be available for ingame currency
My gripes
-it gets hard to differentiate between your foam and your enemies foams so it’s hard to make strategic plays
-some guns really need an ads option because they’re really meant to be used for longer range
-movement itself is kind of clunky and the transition from board to feet feels slow
-should have been just a class based shooter, but the hero route sells more skins, although it also makes it harder to competitively balance, which does show
Well said. It’s not a bad game, but it definitely has its cons in comparison to splatoon.

Macro-transactions not Microtransactions let stop calling them Microtransactions, something costing the cost of a game is not micro. $1-$5 is micro $10+ is macro.

It’s like an 8 without the outrageous cosmetic DLC and game mode rotation mechanic. It honestly is really fun and builds upon Splatoon in ways like piling foam and the ability to save foamed up teammmates

As a Splatoon player, I'm giving the game a shot, and love the style and colors. The worst parts for me are having to constantly reset the camera (with motion controls) and being forced to pick a different character in multiplayer if someone already picked Soa.
Why are Asian microtransactions much worse. Any Gacha seems to be more expensive or difficult for F2P players.
Played 3 games and uninstalled. It’s too chaotic.. you can’t tell what’s going on half the time. Game will be dead in a month lol

He making a comparison to between Rubber Duck Party and Tower Control, which is a game mode in Splatoon (and which to be fair, adds a few features that distinguishes itself positively compared to Splatoon's version imo).

Spreading foam is way too hard in this game
This is such a fun and chaotic game.
If you ever get the money. Splatoon 3 is just this but much more fine tuned gameplay. The pve and story modes are also better than what I've seen in Foamstars. The weird squid noises, the characters, you can actually choose your weapon in splatoon (from splatana wipers, dual pistols, smgs, giant paint rollers, shotgun umbrella shields) and have so much more customization.

This is kind of effed up considering the target audience of this game and that this review would cater to older kids and younger teenagers similar to that of platoon. Do better IGN
Seems like a f2p game they decided to sell for 30 bucks in an attempt to make more money. With cosmetics that cost more then that,it just screams greedy f2p game,no reason this should be sold for any price if they weren't desperate to double dip consumers...

The moment to moment gameplay is simply not enjoyable especially if you've played Splatoon. Splatoon feels faster and a lot more fun than Foamstars
There is no "made by Nintendo" badge. That is why foamstars is bad, gameplay is not enjoyable and etc.

This game took inspiration from Splatoon, and could only have taken inspiration from it. Splatoon created this style of shooter and has had 3 games to fine tune and improve upon it. It's just facts @@jamesconlin5099
