We owned 2 sets of these over the years. Both the 3/4 mile version. Sadly they no longer work but only after years of all day use. My Doberman is nut job and as a young man needed some extra attention getting at times. This collar saved the day and made my buddy more manageable. The unit is very durable and the correction range is perfect. I would vibrate him 99.5% of the time. And on about 3 shock he would notice it but not hurt him at all. We highly recommend this collar.

Why? Because they show how to properly use an e-collar? E-collars are FANTASTIC tools that have gained a horrible rep from abusers and oversensitive know-nothings. Have you ever pulled your dog on a leash? Snapped it quickly to startle them or get their attention? Screamed at them for bad behavior causing them to cower? An ecollar is more humane than ALL THOSE things. It's an annoying tingle or like a static shock at worst, when properly calibrated. And before you say the stereotypical thing, "How about you put it on yourself and see how you like it!?", I already have, I train dogs professionally, and I zap myself with one at FULL POWER as a demonstration at the start of EVERY training season. It's not that bad even at full blast. VERY annoying, but leaves no marks or lasting effects. Educate yourself, and use a powerful tool that will set your dog up for a happy and obedient life.

If you need to use an e-collar, you shouldn't be anywhere near dogs..

Do you have any experience with actual trained working dogs? Or a pig hunting hound? Not all dogs are labs. Some dogs like my European Doberman is an angel. He sleeps in my bed and loves meeting people at the store. Absolutely loves people. But when he is working on the farm. He will kill anything or anyone that crosses the fence unless I stop him. I trained him that way. And being a European Doberman instead of an American Doberman, he is actually deadly. Other breeds, such as the legendary Argentinian mastiff, are just as scary. Or a Presa Canario are great family dogs but must be kept in check.
It's a big world my friend look around.
