After the war they will have to reform and show that by showing up and helping after the big chaos. In the war I do not see them playing that big of a role. No really. It makes sense if you consider that koby's dream involves actually doing good for the world and protecting people. Vegapunk said the fate of the world relies on whoever finds the one piece, that's not something to take lightly and It'd be weird to just leave the fate of the world you live in the hands of pirates, regardless of those pirates being your friends or not. Regardless of how much he likes luffy and believes luffy will be pk or not, we are at a point where luffy is no longer just a nice dude having adventures and finding a mythical treasure. There are real life repercussions to this and koby is aware of that now. I don't think it's a forced "garp and Roger" narrative but more so koby maturing and taking his duties seriously. Also, imo his quote about stopping luffy doesn't just imply luffy, but every pirate in general. I feel like the groups of big players for the final saga are a representation of the following The New 4 Emperors: Willpower & Heralds of the coming of the New Era Akainu, Imu, Dragon and mystery character: Ambition & monuments of the Old Order Sabo, Koby, Figarland and Kuzan: Desires & the Visionaries with these traits that are clearly the central themes (willpower, dreams and ambition), they will all have to duke it out within their groups. Only one will come out on top in their respective group. I do think The One Piece doesnt need to be claimed by one person, it has to be the right group of people in full agreement, and understanding with the treasure as the foundation and common ground. The oath that Luffy, Sabo and Ace made might be a foreshadowing of how The One Piece will be claimed.

Yo, I think Kuzan will take the Marines to the future with Koby as the hero admiral, Smoker and Fujitora. I don't know how the war will start but the Marines as a protector of the establishment will be wrecked. I'd love to see the good marines betray the other or just don't show up. After the war they will have to reform and show that by showing up and helping after the big chaos. In the war I do not see them playing that big of a role. Koby will have his Moment with Luffy and the pirate king will get his revenge on Akazuki but they will not be great antagonists more the fodder.
The thing that will happen in one piece

No really. It makes sense if you consider that koby's dream involves actually doing good for the world and protecting people. Vegapunk said the fate of the world relies on whoever finds the one piece, that's not something to take lightly and It'd be weird to just leave the fate of the world you live in the hands of pirates, regardless of those pirates being your friends or not. Regardless of how much he likes luffy and believes luffy will be pk or not, we are at a point where luffy is no longer just a nice dude having adventures and finding a mythical treasure. There are real life repercussions to this and koby is aware of that now. I don't think it's a forced "garp and Roger" narrative but more so koby maturing and taking his duties seriously.
Also, imo his quote about stopping luffy doesn't just imply luffy, but every pirate in general. He refers to luffy cause luffy is his friend and told him he wanted to find the treasure but he obviously won't just try to stop only luffy, but every pirate.

I think Blackbeard will steal Imu's fruit and complete the fruit trifecta (paramecia, logia, zoan). Blackbeard is Luffy's Imu, whereas Imu is Joyboy's blackbeard. One PIece is all about the next generation taking over, well Imu is a relic of the past, so I don't foresee them being the final villain, but rather a red herring.

The New 4 Emperors: Willpower & Heralds of the coming of the New Era
Akainu, Imu, Dragon and mystery character: Ambition & monuments of the Old Order
Sabo, Koby, Figarland and Kuzan: Desires & the Visionaries
with these traits that are clearly the central themes (willpower, dreams and ambition), they will all have to duke it out within their groups. Only one will come out on top in their respective group.
I do think The One Piece doesnt need to be claimed by one person, it has to be the right group of people in full agreement, and understanding with the treasure as the foundation and common ground.
The oath that Luffy, Sabo and Ace made might be a foreshadowing of how The One Piece will be claimed.
