Happy stitching! And as always sorry for the rambling !
Loved the Stacy Nash segment. Very motivating and inspiring. All of your projects look fabulous. Would love to see a sewing extra. You are talented with your stitching and finishing. Stay well and feel better.
Thank you! Just have to get rid of my croaky voice. I will definitely do a little sewing video soon. Thanks and happy stitching!
Oh my…I am sitting here stitching away and thoroughly enjoying your beautiful finishes when I hear you give me a lovely shoutout 😊😊. Thank you so much. Your stitching and finishes are gorgeous, and I have several of the charts I would love to get to. I need to go back and binge your videos. 💕
You are super kind and talented! I always admire other dedicated stitchers!
Hello from Texas! Loved seeing all of the lovely Stacy Nash finishes. Yes, I could relate to the needle story and it made me laugh! Thanks for sharing your love of stitching.
Hi Karen! Please to meet you, and I do love those Stacy Nash designs a lot. Thanks for your kind comment!
I've just found you! And what a treat! So good to see all your beautiful Stacy finishes and charts, gorgeous! I will catch up with your other flosstube episodes. I certainly don't mind how long they are! The more the merrier!
Awww thanks so much!!
Yayy happy day for me to have a flosstube from Lizzy to keep me company while I’m working. What Stacy Nash parade that was awesome 😍😍😍
Glad you liked them! I feel like I am always working on the same things, you have so much variety!
I love your boring life. I also have one! I crosstitch every day and love it! I love watching your floss tube. I love all the stitching you do with Stacy Nash; great job.
I am so glad you enjoy stitching! Thanks and have a lovely week!
Love your floss tube. Thank you for sharing. Needles are a pain at times, but if you see the eyes punch pressed by the machine, you realize you just need to turn the needle, and the other side is smooth and more open. It is just like punching bars for glass glazing. This was a lovely visit.
Thanks, I was actually holding the needle upside down! Silly me!
Lovely flosstube! Love all your little needle books. So well put together. Love to watch how animated you get when talking about stitching. ❤❤
Thank you! Happy stitching!
Your stitching is lovely. You certainly inspired me and enabled me with all of your gorgeous pieces. I put several more Stacy Nash designs on my wish list. Thanks for sharing. I love every single thing you are working on. Such a fun video and nice to see you again.
Thank you Julie! Yes I have decided I will do a Stacy Nash month again next year, I just have to decide what month to do it! Glad you could join me again!
Your work is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. It encourages me to keep going.
Yes and comments keep me going too! Thank you!!
What a pleasure to see all the lovely things you’ve been stitching and finishing. I love all your projects! The Stacy Nash needle books and pin cushions are darling! Looking forward to seeing what you stitch with the blue silk thread. Keep on with recharting the ladies dress in blue. You could try introducing a complimentary color for the stripe . Be well and happy stitching!
Thank you so much! I think I'll use the blue on one of the alphabet samplers. I shall persist with choosing blues! How hard can it be ?
Love your flosstubes showing your work. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Happy stitching. ❤
Thank you and happy stitching!
This was a wonderful flosstube! Your pieces are beautiful! I am so glad that you came up in my feed, and I look forward to your next video.
Thank you so much for joining me! Happy stitching!
Love to see your sewing! Your stitching is beautiful, and your pin keeps are absolutely gorgeous. 😊
Thank you so much! Happy stitching!
wow, your finishes are awesome! I especially like your Blackbird Merry Christmas piece, and your needle books are just precious. Thanks so much for sharing all your work.
Thank you! Hopefully it inspires everyone to stitch all the things!
Hi Liz, this was my first time seeing one of your flosstubes and I enjoyed it so very much! I have subscribed and look forward to seeing many more! I enjoyed you "introducing" yourself. I live in Texas and love cross stitching, quilting and sewing, and also do genealogy. I loved your Stacy Nash spotlight as well as your WIPs. You do beautiful stitching! You have encouraged me to get started on "Maggie Mae" by Stacy N.....thank you ❤! As I watched your video I was stitching "Sergei" by Plum Street Samplers. Take care and have a wonderful August! --Deb
How lovely to meet you! I love all the Plum streets too! I'd love to visit Texas one day!
You’ve accomplished so much stitching. Good job. Yes, I need to see your sewing projects too! Hope you and your family are feeling better.
Thank you, yes we are feeling better, can't wait for summer! I will try to get a sewing video in for you! I always enjoy seeing what others are making!
Epic Flosstube… so much stitchy goodness! Loved all of your finishes, hopefully I’ll get to see some in person one day…. Love the Reflet de Soie chart… I’ve got a Quaint a Rose Needlearts pattern to start for sampler September.
Ooo maybe I should kit that Quaint Rose one up then! Would love to share my cross stitch with you one day! Yes it was a bit epic, epically long!
I just found your flosstube. I love all your finishes... so inspiring.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
What a great flosstube Lizzy! I love your Stacy Nash patterns, thank you so much. Love from Taranaki🥰
Thank you! Love from Tauranga! It's actually sunny again which is so nice.
So nice to see you on the screen. Have missed you. Everyone of your projects are fabulous. Happy Stitching my friend
Thank you Elizabeth! I have been enjoying seeing all your progress too!
What a fabulous video Liz. Your finishing is exquisite, as is all of your stitching. You make me want to stitch all the Stacy Nash, and Scattered Seed Samplers, although there is no way I could finish such things. I am a fan of Tony Robinson, I love his history docos, and the walks around Britain ones also. He is responsible for my purchasing the Bayeux Tapestry cross stitch with all the wool threads from Sajou!
Isn't that tapestry magnificent! England has so much history, it's incredible compared to here. Oh well, keep on stitching!!
I just found your floss tube and enjoyed it so much. Thank you
Thank you for watching! Most appreciated!
Loving visiting with you. So much beautiful stitching that are inspiring. I’ve love my BBD strawberry you sent me and displayed on my small book shelf with some other special stitching from friend. Must get back to my BBD projects. I too have the loose feathers patterns. The cat ones done but must get back to the others. Blessings and happy stitching.
Thanks Clare, glad you liked the strawberry! If only we could stitch everything all at once! Can you imagine!
Your such a lovely person. You have been very productive with your beautiful stitching. I had a good laugh with your story of threading a needle. I could totally relate to that!! Happy Stitching !!!
Loved seeing all your Stacy Nash and the great projects you have. Thanks for mentioning my video and Happy Stitching!!!😊
Yes those tiny needles! Thanks for watching!
Happy stitching to you too! I always enjoy seeing other stitchers work!
I’ve binged all your videos! Your finishes are exquisite and all your crafts are beautifully done. I can’t wait to see your next video. My husband and I think you look like you could be our daughter! We have three sons in your age group !
Thank you so much!
So kind of you to mention my Flosstube on your lovely show! Love your Stacy Nash finishes and plans for even more!! Also I was so excited to see your BBD For The Birds series as one piece - I haven't worked on mine for months and maybe tomorrow I will drag her out - it is absolutely beautiful :)
Well you have such a lovely channel full of goodies! Would love to see your Bird Series! Happy stitching, and soak up that sun for me! Its yuk here!
@@lizzythestitcher happy stitching 🧵
Just found your floss tube. And love it! Your finishes are beautiful and creative. Laughed at the description of trying to rethread a needle. A familiar scenario!
Thank you so much, happy stitching and thanks for watching!
I watch the Iceland stuff too. I love watching Shawn Willsey. He’s a geology professor in Idaho, US. He’s great. I’m a time team fan too.
Hello! Yes I watch Shawn too sometimes! Very informative. I don't know if they still film Time Team, I must look it up again!
Lovely stitching and finishes. Inspires me to try a few!
Please do! Happy stitching and thank you!
I sure love your stitching work! I haven't done a needle book yet, but you have encouraged me to get started!
Oo yay! Do have a go! It takes a little patience!
Really enjoyed your video. Your projects and finishes are beautiful. I’m loving the blue thread you purchased as I love blue too. I also have those blackbirds you mentioned kitted ready to go. Great idea for sampler September.
Yes maybe a few starts coming for Sampler September! I just can't decide. Too many great choices!
Trying to thread the needle at the wrong end with an ever shortening thread because it has been trimmed more than once is something I have done more times than I care to remember. The worst is when you also have to frog a few stitches because you were playing thread chicken as well! Love your Stacey Nash finishes!
That is so funny, I do thread chicken all too much! I would actually save time if I stopped it earlier and didn't have to fuss!
Just watched your latest video. Wow so much finishing! For your the Needleworkers Oath you might try Gentle Arts Blue Jay or Weeks Dye Works Father’sDay. The dyes change from lot to lot, but the ones from my stash don’t give me that lavender or green feel. Have fun!
Thanks so much! Yes it was Blue Jay I tried, it looked perfect until I stitched it on the fabric! I think something very close to that would work, so I won't give up! I'll have to look up the Fathers day thread, haven't heard of that colour. Thanks again!
Hi Liz great FT Beautiful finishes, love all the Stacy Nash, and yes I have also done that with my needle😂🪡,hope you feel better soon, love anything BB,Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
Jolly eye sight! Thanks, glad you liked the video. How nice we like the same things!
I like all the designers that you like! I especially like patterns with Bible verses, like the Plum Streets. I joined Teresa Kogut’s Patreon last month. Nice patterns. I don’t mind if your videos are long!
Thanks Carol, yes I love the bible verses added in with the designs too. Enjoy the Teresa Kogut Patreon, she is a wonderful designer.
Always inspired by your collection of smalls and your visions for your samplers. I think it’s a great idea to revisit Lori holts combination of blues for possible consideration of the Teresa Kogut piece. Another suggestion is to see what combo you have already used in other items like your little wren or any Blackbird pattern. Their use of blue is fabulous 💙🩵.
Yes thanks! I am exploring lots of colours now!
So nice to see you again. Yes, I would appreciate a sewing tutorial. My suggestion for the blues for your Teresa Kogut piece is to use the threads from The Winter is Past by Blackbird Designs.
Thank you, that is a great idea to look at those threads! Happy stitching!
Your stitching is always right up my alley! I e been thinking of starting a blue sampler too and I love the Reflects de Soie pattern that you chose
Excellent! Thank you!
Hi Lizzie, I’m a first time viewer, I came over from Sian from Periwinkle Stitcher after her recommendation.I enjoyed seeing all your Beautiful Stacy Nash finishes, I’m also a big BBD fan have been since they were Quilters before they started Cross Stitching patterns. I have gotten back into X Stitch after a 20+ year hiatus since becoming a Quilter. I Totally get the Frustration of threading the needle, I use a Clover needle threader after I’ve tried a few times, does make life easier…
Happy Stitching
Maree 🇦🇺💐
Hello Maree! I just love Sian’s channel! Thanks for stopping by! Nice to meet another stitcher here. I plan to always have a blackbird designs on the go! That way they will get stitched. Thanks for the needle threading tip. Hope to see you next time. Happy stitching.
Yay, geology! I'm a geologist, so it was cool to hear you mention your love of the subject! :) Also, loved seeing the WIPs, hahaha! Have a great weekend!
@@britches__get__stitches how awesome you must know so much about geology!! Yes not too many wips. Can’t handle too many personally! Trying to get my hubby to share some hobbity stories! He isn’t keen.
Lovely to see you. That Xmas border is amazing. ☺️ I got a third the way through but I have to get to the train. I’ll finish you later 😂
Amazing you got that far through the video ha ha! Catch ya later!
When you are choosing thread colors you also have to think about how the fabric is going to affect the thread color. So a teal , which is more green is going to become more green because of the yellow in the fabric. A blue may look more teal because of the yellow fabric. This will happen with softer shades of these colors. Ones we like. If you use a more stronger saturated blue it will remain blue and be less affected by the yellow in the fabric.
Thank you, I've just learnt something new! You are absolutely right! The pale colours disappeared on the fabric, and yes the yellow was affecting the colours I picked!
Just stumbled upon your channel and watched all the way through to the end. Love your calm and soothing style and interestingly we are stitching on several of the same projects :). I recently finished the Stacy Nash loose feather needle book. I also watched Katie’s invaluable lesson in finishing although that one has so many designs that I turned it into 2 needle books. One with the board and another just as a traditional soft needle book. I’m also stitching Loose Feathers series from Blackbird designs. Love all the blues in it and I agree it’s deceptively small. They need several months to finish unless you are being monogamous which I’m definitely not anymore😂. I’ve got the Stacy Nash needle roll ready to go. I’m excited to try to make a biscornu and Bobbin also kitted. I also want to do the Brenda Gervaise stitching series just need to grab that DMC22. Looking forward to more videos 😊
Thats fantastic to hear you are stitching the same things! Stacy Nash is definitely popular! Thanks for stopping by!
Yes, the exact needle threading has happened to me! 😀 More than once…….
Yes I am glad I am not the only one who can't thread a needle! Happy stitching!
I loved seeing your flosstube and similar designers you stitch!! I have watched every episode of Time Team while I stitch as well. It's one of my favorite things to watch alongside historical or prehistoric documentaries. Flosstube encourages me to spend too much money sometimes, so I resort to other interests. Best!
Oh excellent! I did enjoy the time team series! Yes the enabling is just a part of cross stitch. Sometimes I am fine with it and sometimes I take a break but it's all good and fun! Happy stitching with what we already have right!
😂😂😂 i love your needle story ❤
I know right! And it happens just a little too often!
I absolutely love everything you stitch! Lovely work, and we evidently like the same designers. Just stumbled on your channel and hit subscribe right away. 🙂
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Many thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching ❤
You are most welcome, hopefully it encourages others to stitch!
First time watching today and loved your videos and your pieces are beautiful ❤ I’m subscribing and going to watch your others.
You are super kind! Thank you and glad you enjoyed it. See you next time!
🐨👍
This the first time I’ve watched your video, thank you! You’ve accomplished so much! Wow! I’d suggest looking at Teresa Kogut patterns first blue combinations you like. That would likely work for your dress color conversion as she’s tends to stay in the same color families. Good luck! 💙
That is a fantastic idea! Thank you! I've already spotted an extra colour to try out. Thanks so much for stopping by to watch!
Love the video. I’ll have to catch up on your others. You didn’t mention the count of your linen on the bird houses. If it’s 32 I know what you mean. I did something 2 over 2 on 32 count and felt that I was fighting the stitches all the time. If 2 is too bulky some stitchers switch to using sulky which is supposed to be equivalent to 1.5 DMC. Higher count would probably be fine with one thread.
Thank you! Yes it was 32ct! I might give the one thread a try, otherwise I think I'll be changing the fabric size. It was definitely a fight to stitch!
Hi Lizzy, I'm a stitcher in the Bay of Plenty too. Nice to meet you, where do you like shopping locally? Your stitching is beautiful.
Hello! You can get DMC at spotlight, or there is stitchmakers at Greerton, Tauranga. Otherwise I have to order online!
@@lizzythestitcher Thank you, I'll look up stitch makers

Thanks just discovered you via Sian, love your stitching. For the blue dress, have you tried weeks Jaybird? And instead of the 100/3 you could consider Au Ver A Soie - Soie D’Alger which is stranded but I like the coverage on 36 count eg look at #1414 it is a royal blue. You’ve inspired me, Thankyou ❤
Hi! Thanks for letting me know you found me via Sian. Isn't her channel wonderful! Yes I tried Jaybird, I found some new colours, just have to test them out. I will definitely check out the Soie D'Alger thread, thank you so much. Happy stitching.
Love all of your WIPS - Beautiful Progress. Love your Finishes. They are so very pretty.
I have a Floss Tube Channel called Linda Klinedinst
Take Care & Happy Stitching

Thank you Linda! I love the frosty forest series you are working on! And also the Jardin Prive one. You are brave to do those big full coverage patterns! Happy stitching!
@@lizzythestitcher - Thank You - I love to Challenge Myself and I love stitching on the Full Coverages - I love seeing them come to life. ❤️🧵❤️
