Alison, in my opinion, it's not that God loves every colour (I'm Canadian, we put U's after O's in a lot of things) it's that God is love and love is colourblind because colour isn't who people are. I did this as one of my first numbers as a drag queen and it hits hard as a member of the LGBTQ community. This came out around the time of the PULSE shooting and we were hugging each other tight because we never know if or when it will be us or our brothers and sisters next. I was a fan of hers before but she cemented my love for her after she released this song.
