Identified as a tax haven, Singapore is the only country in Asia with a AAA sovereign credit rating from all major rating agencies. It is a major aviation, financial, and maritime shipping hub, and has consistently been ranked as one of the most expensive cities to live in for expatriates and foreign workers. Singapore is placed highly in key social indicators: education, healthcare, quality of life, personal safety, infrastructure, and housing, with a home-ownership rate of 88 percent. Singapore is a unitary parliamentary republic with a Westminster system of unicameral parliamentary government, and its legal system is based on common law. The PAP has governed the country continuously since full internal self-government was achieved in 1959, with 83 out of 104 seats in Parliament as of the 2020 general election. It's because Singapore is boring, less wild entertainment. But Dubai has glamour and wild things. That's the basic difference. But its true tgat Singapore is the best planned city for a decent family living
It’s more so due to the fact that Dubai is in the sweet spot for transiting between the East and West and has an Airline (Emirates) that mastered it. It’s also going though a short term trend where it’s popularized by New Money people, but this will eventually dissipate. Riyadh looks like it’s gonna be the Dubai replacement in that regard, and when Neom Line is ready, that’ll be the next in line.

I am from Nepal, but I wish if my country had cities that looked even 30% of what Singapore city looks like. so clean, well maintained, incredible infrastructure. I am 27 but even after 50 or 60 years I don't think cities in my country can get to this level.
