✨About the game ✨
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.

I'm so glad you get Tommy's perspective. So many people write Tommy off, but also side with Ellie. Like, I get Ellie is hurting from losing her adoptive Dad... But Tommy just lost his older Brother. The big Brother that kept him alive through the apocalypse.
You missed Joel's jacket in his closest. Ellie grabs it and smells it. 😢

I know it doesnt make sense for me/us to tell u to "be calm" or "dont panic" when ur the one in the middle of Horde crisis(in this episode or in future episodes) coz we're not the ones playing. BUT honestly, u did SO well during the whole stressful n panicking moments. Dont worry bout pressing wrong buttons coz trust me that's where u'll learn, get the hang of it n eventually getting really gd at it.
N yeah, we've been there(witnessing Joel being taken away, just like that) n we cant believe it ourselves. But just like every games/movies, there's always an answer to every question. U'll get there. But for now, let's look at the positive side. Joel's finally able to reunite with his daughter, Sarah. N on ur part, i REALLY hope that ur feeling fine. Once again, WELL DONE n STAY STRONG💪🏽(u've alrdy shown the strength by trying so hard to not burst into tears)
I am tearing up, "Joel's finally able to reunite with his daughter, Sarah", I did not think about that! I- 😭 (and I have to add that I think crying is a strength not a weakness!!)
Unluckily you missed one heartbreaking and sad moment at the Joel's house, you did not interacted with his closet. There would have been scene where Ellie sinks her head to the Joel's jacket and wants to smell his odor for the last time before everything fades away. That scene always tears me up. Also his living room would have had some objects that you could have interact.

It's very easy to miss the living room, even if you visit the remaining rooms before returning downstairs

I think a good story provoke emotions, and I'm not afraid to feel upset or sad! I think it's cool that a story can do that!
Ngl, l laughed when you said, "so Joel can die.." and *Girl...* popped up on screen.
Haven't watched 'that' scene for a while... The emotions in Ellie's voice got me (Ashley Johnson's performance 🤯) now I can't see through my tears.
I was numb and speechless on my first play... until I got to Joel's house, that's where it hit me.. hard. Especially when Ellie smells his jacket.

I love how calming that horse ride with Dina is. The forest is so beautiful.

I enjoy watching how players explore the city so differently sometimes.
I don't know how far ahead you are playing/recording but I hope you fully explore the city (keep checking your map).

As others have said this is an emotional rollercoaster... best rollercoaster I've ever been on.

Alright, I'll say it one last time, then I'll stop. Video game logic/structure. During the game there are points of no return, including in exploration scenarios. Which means that if you advance to a certain point, then you will no longer be able to explore that area. In Joel's house, that point of no return was going back down the stairs after Dina calls to Ellie. However, even before going up the stairs you could've explored the entire first floor and picked up and read various items and notes. Same on the second floor, you could've explored every room and closet, and there were points of interest in each. Then, once upstairs, opening the shoebox is the trigger to have Dina call to Ellie (once you recognize the pattern/structure, like going through a door that locks behind you, then these triggers should become more obvious). But, even after you've received Dina's NPC direction you STILL could've explored the entirely of the second floor. All in all, I'd say you probably explored/saw less than half of Joel's house.
However, if exploration is not your thing and you just want to continue on, then please disregard all I've said above. But, if you do want to see all the game has to offer, then take a minute, explore the space by walking around all of it (walk up to walls, doors, and items) rather than looking from afar, and, like I've said before, disregard NPC directions in exploration areas.
Another thing to notice is what the game itself is telling you you can do either by text on the screen (ex. "

I'm gonna be honest, I did try to enter every room (went in the bathroom too, but didn't find anything, and I see now that I missed some rooms) and when I play, I make the conscious decision to explore. however, if I miss something, I'll just have to miss it, bc I do explore to the best of my abilities. I do get how it's annoying bc I'm even annoyed at myself, like how I didn't catch the interaction at 34:05 with joels jacket,, But I've looked it up on youtube so I atleast know what is was

Given you liked Abby prior to her killing Joel, I think you are going to be open-minded and will enjoy the game more and more through the rollercoaster ride of emotions. The story is quite complete so you will get your questions answered in the present and plenty of flashbacks. You won't see the last of Joel. I will definitely be watching you play through! But don't wait too long so you don't have to keep remembering all the buttons/keys.

If you were to look back at all the different sighs she gave us, you would of long noticed by then that she was bad news from the start. Her first sigh was when they kept saying Him and when Tommy first said his name to her and she kinda paused for a sec, but i think it was bc you were just soo excited about the game at the time you're brain just didn't really care to give any acknowledgment

Might wanna turn down sensitivity setting so you dont sway as much and turn off motion blur. You can also invert your controls since I noticed you get mixed up a little with up and down. Other than those two suggestions enjoy the game 👍

It seems that you did not actually sense danger when Abby first met Joel and Tommy, and just when Joel announced his name you noticed something strange. This scene where Ellie is forced to watch when Abby tortures and kills Joel is very heartbreaking, sad and it is supposed to be that brutal to make you feel the same anger and despair that Ellie feels. I felt bad for you when I saw your shock about how the things start to fall down.
As said before this will be emotional rollercoaster ride with many twists and turns, but in the end it is well worth of it. The story is great and I think that this game is one of the best games ever made. Keep your mind open and you will hopefully enjoy the ride. You have just started the ride and I promise that there will be so much more to see and feel.

Still hard to watch this part.
Sofietiu this scene came as a shock to a lot of people but I think what most people are forgetting is Joel wasn't a good guy, at one point in his life he chose to make a living murdering people. There's one outcome in a situation like that you make A LOT of enemies, I'm sure you remember Tess's final words to him "guess what we're shitty people Joel its been that way for a long time" if it wasn't Abby that killed Joel it really just would have been someone else, without me spoiling anything let's look at what you already know one she was there for Joel and Joel alone. Two and this is the most important detail think about the way Abby looked at Ellie after she killed Joel it wasn't with the same loathing and contempt she showed Joel, it was with remorse and guilt so obviously Abby is not a villain, Joel had this coming for a LOOOONG TIME he got what he deserved the fact that we met one of Joel's victims who finally cared enough to do something about it shouldn't come as a surprise. The only question is who is it and what did Joel do to piss her off? The game will obviously explain it all I'll say is as far as that goes is its not related to anything you haven't already seen from the first game, do you know what I mean like it won't be one of those wait what!? now I'm even more confused IT WON'T BE one of those. Anyway I'm gonna leave it here for now I'll chime back in at some point

This is the reason wy alot of people hated this game, joel will never get kill by this punks, but for some reason they wanted to kill Joel's character. Joel is a survival and he will be miss 😢
