    Utensils: Frying pan, slicer/Knife, Spatula and few bowls to contain the peeled plantain.

    Plantain Chips or also called as chifles, mariquitas, or chicharritas, are chips made from thinly sliced green-yellow plantains that are deep fried until crisp and golden and sprinkled with seasoning to taste. They are a popular snack not just in Africa, but also in Peru and Ecuador and other parts of the world.

      The best way to add salt is to mix with water, allow it to dissolve and add it directly to the hot oil...

      It's the regular slicer that comes with a grater as well. You can get some to buy in the market

      The best way to add salt is to mix with water, wait until dissolved and then add directly into the hot oil. Do not add the brine more than three times, depending on the quantity you're making. I think the brine in this video is made with some palm oil (for more flavor), salt and water.
