- Kirby Smart and Georgia typically have a blueprint for how they navigate the QB position, but with the addition of Jaden Rashada, things are getting weird for the Bulldogs and to me, the move does not make sense. Today, I want to talk about Jaden Rashada, who he is and his odd fit with Georgia, enjoy!

As a UGA fan I was surprised I thought he would want to start and I just think Gunner will be the starter for 2025 Kirby is pretty loyal to the players who wait their turn
Kirby Smart seems to prefer lower heralded four-star recruits for quarterback over the 5 star recruit quarterback types. He chose Fromm over Fields and Eason. He chose Stetson Bennett over JT Daniels, and he chose Beck over Brock Vandagriff. I suspect Gunner Stockton will get the starting job in 2025.
Probably Beck since he knows the system already and isn’t a scrub. I’m assuming Jaden was brought in to takeover after beck leaves
Rashada showed up late for team meetings the week of the Arizona Wildcats game. He was benched the 1st quarter of that game. That will not fly at Georgia and I see him going back to the portal next spring.

Kang wants 4 QB’s in the room. They just happen to all be solid QB’s.
Beck is likely going to the NFL after this season, so Georgia needs somebody to start after this season. Georgia may think Rashada's upside is higher than the likes of Gunnar Stockton and Ryan Puglisi, so it may be worth rolling the dice on Rashada.
Yeah Beck is a Senior so this is his last year at Georgia. If Rashada doesn't behave or isn't good enough Kirby will jettison him into the middle of the Atlantic. Not too worried tbh. Plus everyone always complains about Georgia's QB situation. We heard for 2 straight years how Stetson Bennett definitely wasn't going to be good enough and then he was.

For some unknown reason? Everyone not brain dead knows why UGA added another QB. Four guys are needed to run two practice squads. QB is the most important position. Did you question UGA grabbing Bennett as fourth string in 2021?

Every top program, SEC or not, should have at least four QBs on their roster. Even if they’re walk-ons, they are necessary. Texas has five, including two walk-ons, I believe.

The same UGA fans had no problem with Kirby going after Dylan Raiola and he was still recruiting Ryan also. Now that he’s selected Rashada, why all the fuss? He still has 4 years, it’s like he’s getting a true freshman with real NCAA game experience.

This is Similar to Dante Moore and AJ Swann who transfer to different schools and won’t be starters sometimes it’s best to sit and develop at a better Program then be a starter at Arizona State UCLA or Vanderbilt
A Georgia doesn’t begin a season w/o 4 QB’s. If you actually listened to Smart’s PC’s, he’ll tell you what he wants on his team. He announced getting a QB from the portal in a post Spring PC.

Rashada knew he should have transferred somewhere else besides Georgia. Nothing against Georgia but Rashada won’t see playing time til maybe 2025 or 2026, depending on what Beck does.
And he'll be all the better for it. Beck will be #1 or #2 pick next year.

Right now, this young man is most likely going to shit on the bench to learn. Hopefully, the coaching staff was honest with him and not making any promises with NIL. If you compete and perform well, NIL will come at a school like UGA. My concern with this young man would be, does he want to play and compete on the college level?
They got him because they lost Zoellers to Mizzou. You need a few QBs to develop. He's young, 4 yrs of eligibility. They'll get him ready for '25 maybe even '26.

I see it more as a total political move for fans ,recruiting and image .I think the alumni base has a strong hold on Georgia Football especially the QB position .
When he was playing in Pitt i lived like 10 seconds away from the school and watched him play a bit. He definitely has talent, but the NIL stuff really disappointed me and probably ruined his collegr career. Its a shame cause we had some great talent that came from our area, but never a QB. Oh well, still hoping he balls out and gets drafted ala Spencer Rattler.

No, you are not missing anything as your points are valid. The issue now are these ranking services and social media hyping these kids up so much, that it makes it difficult to miss out on the next big thing. Look at Mikey Williams, Cormani McClain, DJ at FSU, Malachi Nelson, Domani Jackson and so on....They had so much hyped in High School and got away with shear athleticism and nobody ever said no to them. At the college level they didn't put in the work, people are finally saying no, so they bolt and jump around until they are the big fish again. Sadly it will be a waste of our and their time in the end when we watch a "where are they now?" youtube on them

I think I follow this channel for the train wreck analysis and absolutely zero research. He was hurt at ASU, hence little playing… Kirby got him to compete next year, if he wins the job it’s a good move, if he doesn’t win he transfers. It’s that simple in Kirby’s mind.

Unfortunately Georgia adding more and more talent is not the problem or where their focus should be. With the expansion of conference and expanding playoffs, GEORGIA NEEDS A DIFFERENT OC. Mike Bobo is fine for an assistant but he’s in over his head. It’s like Mark Richt was a good coach and nice guy but what we needed was a coach with passion and tough then Kirby came along and boom SUCCESS. We had Bobo before and it didn’t work out. So why now?
