  • Yes, this is experimental and I have no idea if it will work but there is only one way to find out.....TO BUILD IT!

I am on the quest to build a supercharged two stroke that actually builds boost. This bike will be raced this year at the BMST Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Just my two cents, Mike Mouser who developed the first two-stroke Aerocharger turbo kits for Polaris snowmobiles in the late 80's spent 10's of thousands of dollars the first year on the dyno trying to make the turbos work without the original expansion chamber and blow through carb. The motors would always run away and have seizure issues and never made it off the dyno. Then one of his employees said "Hey try the stock 3-1 expansion chamber and the rest is history. The whole industry told him you can't turbocharge a two-stroke and that was the moment everything changed. I later installed many of these kits and although carburation was never quite right they made huge power through the stock expansion chamber. Once you study how an expansion chamber works and or remove an expansion chamber from a modern 2-stroke dirtbike and ride it you can't respect what they do for power. Again, just my take.

All strokes need a primer to start on the first attempt, my Evinrude has a manual little pump that sprays fuel directly into the crankcase, bypassing the carburetor, it looks like a choke knob,,you just pull it out and push back in, it starts first time every time, your welcome people.

Certainly a different way of thinking and I'm not convinced by some of his ideas, but will be interesting to see how it runs on the flats 🤔 Good Luck

Incredible build. When you build a Landspeed vehicle, you and the machine become one the time, thought, effort and passion make the two of you one. I hope you achieve everything your trying to do. GOD BLESS you Brother.

Obviously you will blow charge out of exhaust - if you had ignition source in exhaust it could drive a turbine, like a turbo with extra burner and it would increase exhaust pressure keeping more charge in cylinder.
Deactivate power valve, you need low exhaust, in fact on some old 2 stroke diesels they had one way valve( poppet or reed) feeding the ports that were HIGHER than exhaust ports.
Crossly hstv8 and V12 used reed valves.
Alco even made a 2 stroke back in 1920 or something for ships it had 2 rows of cylinders inlet ports , same principle.

You need a battery powered remote starter. I used one to start my kart when I was racing and it makes getting your engine started a LOT easier. No weight added because it is just a battery with a starter wired to it and it does not attach to the bike.

Figured you would have a handheld starter but smart as you are I'm sure there's a reason why like cost or that it's a 2 man process lol. Pimp video man, super pimp. Keep up the work bro. Nothing worth doing comes easy. Did my push-ups now back to work!🍻

Bad Ass KC! When I started building my bike I was using a 500cc ArticCat (Suzuki) twin with a Rotrex super charger. It was way badass loud. And it would blow quart of gas through it in less then a min. The air box is wild could it burst if you had a backfire? Well hope to see ya on the salt. Good job sir.

Years ago I ran a T500 in a small speedway car (1/4 mile dirt) I supercharged one of them. Straight pipes, badass load and it did ONE mile to the gallon. Never made it to the track as I modified a normal one to the max and never finished off the charged one. Ha Ha

Knowing a fair bit about expansion chambers, I'm not so sure about your exhaust set up ? but I guess you've got to experiment ? I hope you don't cause any detriment to the engine by getting the carb/valve wrong ?

Hello back in 1969 I believe Bob Everman was cycle guide Braverman is the name built a 100 Yamaha two-stroke drag bike with one engine then put two engines cut the tranny off the front one and then use the rear one for the gearbox too set a world's record with this bike chromoly frame little tube I believe it was about 130 miles an hour and 9 and 1/2 seconds anyway a friend of mine bought it right off or out of the magazine don't know whatever happened to it one bad little puppy it was Green lay down

Watch the world's fastest Indian you'll see him with his starter on the back wheel that way you'll get enough cake to start it then you can take some extra parts off the back you don't need
