    He’s back in his Battle Strategy. Even though I didn’t see the Vermintide stream. Colonel, our Colonel fought alongside Great Book of Grudges himself, historian and mild fanatic Cody Bonds and MR SFO Venris. Damn, we be out here in the big leagues now

    5:35 don't forget that the Wildwood rangers have a special passive: if they're fighting in the forest they gain charge defense and anti large
    9:15 Swiftshivers mean they fire 2 arrows at the same time at the cost of range
    21:50 to make Manticores better, mix them with bats, or great Hawks having enemy units distracted by the other units while the Manticore kills ensures that it doesn't pop it's lid

      Yep, came to the comments for the swiftshivers. I generally like the normal version more because they have 180 range and swiftshivers only 135

    You put yourself down too much. You recognise your weaknesses and work to improve them. What more can anyone ask for? That said, awesome video and well done for using a couple of cavalry units effectively.

    16:00 vanguard deployment for Treekin was really useful for me, I was able to immediately close a chokepoint on the map with them, giving my archers and casters time to advance and shoot into the Greenskin masses blobbing up in front of them. If I had to move their slow backsides to it from the deployment zone, the Orks would have most likely already cleared that chokepoint by then.

    Glade guard CAN fire while moving, though... just not in 360 degrees.

    Dryards are labeled damage dealers because they once had AP damage
    But Someone decided to change their AP for Magical Damage but didn’t change the label…

    I'm 50 or 60 turns into a Twisters campaign and realized I had no idea what I should be optimizing my armies towards, so this helped a lot.

    Wood Elf main, really cool build!
    My frontline is usually a lot thinner (just a couple treemen) if it exists at all. And I use units like Zoats more situationally for their support capability instead of using them as lineholders, mostly due to the upkeep burden of bringing 4 + Elf Infantry!
    But I like the approach of using Cav and Melee Infantry instead of just running Waywatchers and/or Treeman Doomstacks for fun purposes :)

    personally my end game army was just straight up one lord, one waystalker, maybe a spellsinger if I needed one for magic damage, and then just doomstacked waywatchers. it is astounding how fast enemy units will crumble when getting shot to pieces from such a distance especially when all of the waywatchers are rank 9.

    I don't understand why people make all-elite armies in the late game. I tried that once and it quickly became boring because no enemy army offered a challenge. My late game Sisters of Twilight army consisted of: 1 Sisters, 1 Glade Captain (on Reindeer), 1 Spellsinger (Shadows), 4 Eternal Guard, 2 Wildwood Rangers, 2 Bladesingers, 1+1RoR Waywatchers, 3 Deepwood Scouts, 2 Hawk Riders and 2 Great Stag Knights. Sisters have a nice Eagle summon and I also used that one gear that lets you summon a unit of Waywatchers when fully maxed out.

    Would you say, you can use treekin as a front line
    5 or 4 and spears on the ends
    And then use deep wood rangers or blade singers to support them??
    ( This build is more for when you're facing a rush faction ( ie vampires or lizardmen)
    (For anyone who is new and doesn't know that)

    Only 3 factions have the manticore because wood elves only have it in campaign and two of those factions 100% should have it because it is a choas monster and dark elfes 90% because they use any monster they can tame

  • @alex_zetsu
    @alex_zetsu Před 3 lety

    I have no idea why Dryads are labeled damage dealers eithers. They're just a bad unit if you don't buff them. Lacking shields, they are actually worse at holding lines. The Eternal Guard does more AP damage than them, even against infantry. Dryads can shred missile units and artillery... but honestly any melee unit can do that. The saving grace for Dyads is than vanguard deployment allows you to get them to attack the artillery units, but as a frontline the only reason to take them over the Eternal Guard is if you expect to fight Peasants, Zombies, or Skavenslaves. Even Miners and Men-At-Arms you'd be better off with the Eternal Guard.

    • @Razielts1
      @Razielts1 Před 3 lety

      Its like colonel said: if you play Durthu or Drycha, they're better.
      4 Dryads Combined with 6 treekin fighting inside trees, make for a Dwarf level frontline its solid as Steel.

    • @alex_zetsu
      @alex_zetsu Před 3 lety +1

      @@Razielts1 I don't disagree with this, but calling something a damage dealer should only be done in the context of of the unit unbuffed. Drycha can make them better, heck even generic lords have some ability to improve them, but the label shouldn't be used for that. Wait how does Durthu make them good?

    • @Razielts1
      @Razielts1 Před 3 lety

      @@alex_zetsu you already know he can equip tree spirits with upgrades like scrap. But these are his buffs:
      +10 charge bonus for every tree spirit unit , +3 AP damage for dryads, +10 AP damage for tree kin, +10% ward save for tree kin, +10% ward save For all units in forest battles; ( Lord's army)
      +5 melee defense for all units when defending, +15 armour and +20% fire resistance for tree spirits, Vigour loss reduction -33% ( Lord's army )
      Add a brainchwraith and you get plus leadership and phis resist on forest battles, but i agree they shouldnt be called damage dealers, might be just because they have higher melee attack than defense lol
