Love my Equalizer and is my EDC. Exceeded my high expectations and is such a Badass...
Good review! Your testing of new gun right out of box without doing any cleaning or lubricating is appreciated and applauded! Good rationale for this. Thanks.
When you say "not as easy as the EZ" I agree. I have the EZ 380 which is really smooth. Even with no issues that require me to shoot and "EZ" style gun, I just find the simplicity makes it FAST. And that to me is worth it. I stuck with the 380 EZ.
Love your review.
Thank you!
The Equalizer is a great gun! Thankful for the 15 round magazine which is compatible with our Shield Plus’s! I have shot both the EZ and Equalizer and both are good shooting guns. I love the Shield plus but the first 5 rounds I put through the Equalizer were all in the 10 ring with three in the X ring.
As a senior woth sone age related hand strength issues I bought the EZ in 9mm. Well I found it very easy for me to use with my diminished strength in my hands the fact that it had a low round capacity and no provision for optics was something that I always felt like I had settled for second best for my purchased it. It was a very accurate and shootable weapon.
When I heard about the equalizer I got excited because it was everything that the EZ wasn't. More rounds, optic ready, and still has the easy rack system. Also the fact that the slide serrations are a bit wider and allow you to get a little bit more flesh into them makes it really easy to rack and shoot this pistol.
Thanks for your honest review I really appreciate the fact that you just took the gun out of the box and shot it. TBH I've always felt that any gun that's new you should be able to just take out of the box and shoot without issues. Sadly though they're not all like that.
Thanks Carl keep shooting my friend
You have make it sound the 10 round mag.wont work in the shield plus but it does . Bought this gun and really like it
Good review. Thank you. Do you think there will be a performance center model of the equalizer?
The way S&W makes thing I would say yes. But I don't work for them so I can't be sure.
ive seen some people say the equalizer shoots low for them. if i were to get one and needed to change the sights do you know if the shield and shield plus sights will fit this gun? on another note, ive seen a few people say they are worried in an emergency they may not disengage the grip safety properly. I dont see how this is possible but do you think it is of any worry?
The pistol doesn’t shoot low, The person controlling it does. Sights are fine base on selling and training over 100+ Students.
Back strap disengagement mostly happening
With improper Grip in a hi defense
Situation you want have a light grip problem
For the money it’s still 2023 Gun of the Year.
@@johnthefirearmsinstructor i wasnt implying that there is anything wrong with the design of the gun, just that certain people see sights differently than others. if a person can get good consistent groups but theyre off target, it would be nice if they could get different sights to adjust the point of impact so that it aligns with the point of aim.
This is why i was asking if you knew if the sights on the equalizer were compatible with other guns like the shield or shield plus since i know you can in fact get sights for those that would adjust the point of aim.
I had to send mine back to SAW it was hitting way off, paper looked like buck shot at 7yds 😓 i hope they can fix it
I hope, for your sake, it was a gun issue. LMAO
@@johnthefirearmsinstructor i tried 6 o clock hold, combat, rap music video and i was just not able to figure it out. Granted I have been shooting 1911s since i was a kid but a gun should hit where you point it
I have one and I fired it for the first time the other day and I don't like the grip safety, it increases the occurrence of non fire.
The grip safety doesn't cause non fires. If you hold it properly it wouldn't make a difference.
Price??
Average, price point $549
Nahh, I’ll stick with Glock and the M&P 2.0’s. But that’s just me.
