What your favourite city in Japan?

I want to live in a urban area, with mostly Japanese to almost no foreigners, I wanna speak Japanese, and were the people don't have to be friendly, I do want them to be polite. No matter what you think of someone you must always be polite, is what I believe at least.
What do you suggest for that combination?

I think that for the climate part, it would have been nice to talk about the precipitation as well. For instance, how the kii peninsula is always hit really hard by the Summer Monsoon, accumulating over 3000mm of rain in some places. It would have also been nice to mention the Siberian winds and how they technically make Japan the snowiest country in the world. The west coast gets high amounts of snow. In fact, the only big city in Japan to get over a metre of snow each year is Sapporo and it gets around 5 or 6 metres each year but because of the mountains and the Northern part of the country, it's considered the snowiest country in the world. Cities like Toyama, Kanazawa, Yamagata and Aomori are also hit hard but are not that big in population. Kanazawa used to be the 4th biggest city in Japan in 1850 but now it's something like 35th if I remember correctly. I heard it's because of the snow but I'm not sure if that's true. The Hokuriku part is also the area with the most Winter precipitation (other than a few islands South of Kyushu), which gets lots of snow and rain (except for the mountains, which get lots and lots of snow but barely any rain). The driest part of the country is Eastern Hokkaido because it's barely affected by the moisture picked up by the Siberian winds and it's barely affected by the Summer Monsoon.

For working in Japan, especially for IT, especially from the pandemic people can have more remote work options. So they can live outside the city and be closer to nature. :)

i'm a 15 year old sophomore in high school and i live in the united states. i've been interested in japan since i was ten years old, and studied the language since then as well so i'm fairly good by now. although i'm not sure yet if i'd like to live in japan eventually, it definitely isn't off the table. i've thought for awhile now though, that if i do move to japan i'd like to live in kanagawa prefecture. likely yokohama or yokosuka as they both seem lovely but for different reasons. (: for schooling, i'm thinking of going to college for either business or IT. i'm not sure exactly what to do though. i'll be turning eighteen in less than two and a half years, so i should probably think about it more now......
