That was such a spellbinding video. I found myself holding my breath.
Thank you! It was scary hearing these stories first hand but I loved the atmosphere 😍
@@carriepatsalismagic wand ahahaahahaha...
My father is also a Forest Guard. He worked in Sundarbans for more than 11 years. In my childhood I heard many exciting stories of the ferocious tigers from him. You bring those stories to the world. Tons of thanks to you for this work.
I have never seen such brave tourists like you. Very few tourists are courage enough to visit in these dangerous part of this forest.
Again thanks a lot for visiting here. ❤❤❤
I bet your father had wonderful stories.. a fascinating job! Thanks for your kind words 🥰
@@carriepatsalis you're my love
I found you like a month ago. The way you narrate and edit your videos make me feel like I'm watching a BBC documentary. I'm from BD but live in Canada and it's so great to see someone making in-depth videos like this! Really loved all your BD videos. I don't know if you're still there but if not I hope you will go back again and make more videos. There's always so many places to go and see.
I am really happy you’re enjoying them! I have a few more to go and I definitely want to return one day 😍
@SamBorgman - ditto, Thank you Carrie.
You describe my country so beautifully . thank you to visit Bangladesh .
My pleasure 🥰
Most tourists I've seen usually follow the most "touristy" trail in Sundarbans and miss the real essence of this forest. Your guide did a really good job. There are many interesting stories about life in sunderbans. SUndarbans have seen 100+ deaths by tiger in a year in the past with many more injured. Those who work in the jungle know ways to detect a threat and scout the area first for signs of tiger before jumping in. Still unfortunate encounters happen. Hope you'll visit Sundarbans soon again and this time for longer period.
I felt so lucky to be taken off the beaten path and also to meet locals working.. offered me a really different insight 😍
Dear Carrie Patsalis,
I really have to subscribe your channel because I love how you act effortlessly. You are such an amazing person. ❤❤❤
i really appreciate that, you discover sundarban better than any media
Thank you 😊
For a tourist, the chance of seeing a tiger in the Sundarbans is generally less than 1%. The tales you hear are amazing though! However, these early morning trips, drifting through the narrow canals on these small boats is also an awesome experience! To be able to hear the birds and monkeys waking up and chirping at each other, piercing the silence all around, or to be able to see the sun rising through the dense fog, and as the sun shines brighter, noticing the different shades of green from the widely different variety of trees and plants indigenous to the Sundarbans… these are memories you can carry through a lifetime! Glad to know that you also had an amazing experience! Loved the video!
I couldn’t agree more.. it was such a special experience and I didn’t feel sad that I missed a tiger.. to be honest meeting the locals and hearing stories plus seeing the scratches and paw prints made it so real for me 😍
There is very high possibly to encounter with Chital (Spotted Deer) in the early morning
❤❤❤🇧🇩💚💚💚 thanks for representing our country
Pleasure 🥰
Your Sundarban touring episode was really amazing. Good job, Carrie
Thank you 😊
This video shows why i love your videos ❤❤❤
It's different from many other's in a good sense ❤
Lots of love 💕
Thanks a million 😍
Even as a Bangladeshi, yet I've not get the chance to make a visit to this biggest mangrove forest of the world!
Whenever I'am watching your vlog, it seems it wasn’t you but me roaming though the journey by myself.
Your narration was in-depth, informative and worth of listening.
Thanks! Thanks a lot from the core of my heart for your brave and kind visit in Sundarban and educated us a lot about this heavenly forest!
May Almighty keep you in sound health and rewarded you with a long life!
Keep exploring and best of luck! 😊
Thanks so much! It makes me really happy to know you’re enjoying it and feel part of the journey.. that’s exactly the feel I wanted to create. 😍🥰
Please Create a documentary about the people who survived the tigers of Sundarbans. I think it will be amazing 🥰💙🤍
That would be an amazing story! Maybe next time I visit.
My heart was beating so fast while listening u. I have been to khulna but not fortunate enough to go to mangroves. Thank u for narrating so beautifully about mangroves
Thank you! I hope you get to go one day
It goes without saying that as beautiful as the Sundarbans are, living here is difficult. It was amazingly beautiful to get so close to this deep forest of canals in a small boat, which probably cannot be found anywhere else in the world!
Hats off to those people.. 💯 cant be easy but they manage it
You give people a beautiful picture of this Muslim country, unlike some of the people we see on CZcams who only focus on it being a country with pollution and overpopulation. You are the best.❤️🦋
Thank you! I have really enjoyed getting to know Bangladesh and it’s people steadily with time.. a real privilege
Hi Carrie! There's a cyclone heading towards Coxs Bazar and the south of Bangladesh. Please make sure you're safe! Loving the videos as usual
I hope everyone is safe there.. saw on news.. I am in london now..
Wonderful adventure in sundarban❤❤
Hi Carrie, that was an amazing video of sundorban and the tiger facts. My children were so fascinated by it, especially my youngest daughter who likes to go (whisper) hunting. Keep up the great work!
I am really glad you all enjoyed it.. I found it fascinating to see how people love and work there.. unbelievable really
Thanks Carrie, loved that ☺
Your narrative was so descriptive that it cast me back to my childhood to the extent that I thought I was watching an episode of Jackanory!
I'm looking forward to the next one & have a great Eurovision weekend! 🤗
Thanks! Love a good story! Here’s to Eurovision!! We actually did quite well last year surprisingly.. let’s see what happens this year!
I have no world to praise you more trust me..!!You left me numb..!!What a treat to my eyes watching your videos..!!Carry on Carrie 😅we are sticking at your back❤Thanks for showing the world the beauty of Sundarbans😊And lastly What a gentleman you found (Abdul Muzeed)A beautiful soul😊
Thank you for your lovely words! 😍
I was waiting for another video Actually watching your video makes me wonder how a foreigner sees Bengali culture It is a matter of pride as a Bengali
Thanks you ma'am
If you have time, visit North Bengal 😊
I love Bengali culture! Next time I want to go to Rangpur 😍
I would classify your video as a perfect blend of education and entertainment! It offers me the opportunity to quench my curiosity about new destinations while enjoying the entertainment aspect. Though i am a Bangladeshi but i never visited Sundarban!! I genuinely hope that you continue your journey to discover exclusive places worldwide, as I eagerly look forward to learning from your experiences!
Thanks so much! Appreciate your support! I am currently sat at home trying to work out where to go next, that doesn’t break the bank 😂.. travel has become so expensive!
What an adventurous episode it was!!❤ 🇧🇩🇬🇧
One of my favourite days I think!
Just around 200 years ago tigers used to roam around all over Bengal hiding behind jungles, forests and bushes. It’s a pity now we almost lost all the tigers.
Asian Rhinos got extinct from this area; you still can find some rhinos in Assam across the border on west of Bangladesh.
It’s sadly a problem worldwide as humans expand and build, expand and build
Thanks for visiting our beautiful country
amazing to see how much time you've invested in showing your audience the real raw beauty of bangladesh. as you know Royal bengal tigers are predominantly only found in the sundarbans area of our country and india and they have quite the reputation of being such huge majestic beast, they are also very shy and often tries to maintain distance from the locals but trust me even if you don't see them they mostly are watching you from a far. nature is truly amazing innit
fun fact: if you ever face a tiger never put your back towards them, it makes them more hostile and they'll definitely jump on you. thank you
also the locals who go into the jungle to earn their living seeks help from an entity call bonobibi (goddess of the forest) and recently coke studio bangla has launched a music regarding this. might wanna make it a listen.
I know coke studio from Pakistan.. is it new in Bangladesh or has it been going a while?
I really really enjoyed filming here.. it’s story heaven 😍
This one is my most favourite video of yours. Literally, your whispers gave me some goosebumps.
Thank you so much! I think it’s one of my
faves too 😍
Nice video very well narrated. I love your enthusiasm for exploring Bangladesh and the love of Bangladeshi food.
Thank you 😊
Don't forget to visit on sajek valley you will love it
Wow nice video making, story telling is very nice especially the forest officer story. Although never been to the Sundarbans from the country, it was great, thanks Carrie!!😍
Thanks for watching Mazhar 😍
Aha, I was waiting for the part 2 from the Sundarbans!
Hope you enjoy it 😊
Beautifully captured! ❤
Thank you 😊
I visited three times in Sundarban. My most favourite place in Bangladesh.
It’s magical 😍
Hi Carrie when ur next visit to Bangladesh 🇧🇩 pls visit Gazipur District jus north of Dhaka, it has lots to offer to tourists, there’s more than 120 beautiful resorts & also many picnic spots etc. Not far away there’s Asia’s biggest safari park called bangabandhu safari park area consists of nearly 4000 acres of land with 3000 animals from worldwide to see. It’s be better if u take binoculars & camera to take video or snapshot of various animals in its precinct. There’s restaurants u can dine & has sanitation facilities etc
wonderful! do you know the English poet Ted Hughes? He was appointed Poet Laureate in 1984 and was the last to hold the office until his death. In 1989, he visited Sundarbans and as a forest officer my father was assigned to accompany him with his entire trip and at the end he wrote a poem for my father. there was no title of the poem but he started with "for Sufi" as our family name is 'Sufi'. My sister still has that original copy of the Poem hanged in her sitting room. you just refreshed my childhood memories. my last visit to Sundarban was in 2018 and and that was our last family tour with my father as he died from covid in 2022 just few hours before I reached there in Bangladesh.
Wow that made the hairs on my arm stand up.. what an awesome story! That’s wonderful!
Thank You Carrie, amazing vid.
Many thanks 😊
Your narration is really great. Sounds like a professional documentary. Keep going.
Thank you 😊
Another brilliant video. I was right there with you Carrie.
Thank you 😊
It is such an excellent way you show catching Sundorban it seems like a documentary. thank you so much

Thanks 😊
Your story 😲 telling 😲 is too good. 👍🖤
Thank you!
Thankyou very much for visiting.
I visited this forest 2 years ago and I loved it as a nature enthusiast. But the stories of this place are shocking, terrifying and wonderful at the same time. Usually, it is forbidden to visit Sundarbans during rainy season as it is the mating season for tigers. I met one boatman, and he very casually told me that he worked in areas with tiger and during the mating seasons, the shear power of the roaring sounds shake their utensils and unsettles them. I was stupid enough not believe them but after coming home, I did my research. To mg surprise, they were telling the truth. The roar of the Bengal Tigers can be heard from as far as over 2miles. Since then, I often wonder, how do you live in a place so far from the mainland, without any basic supplies or protection with one of the most deadliest animals of the world and still manage to put a smile on your face and talk about this incidence so casually. SUNDERBANS, is obviously most famous for being the world’s largest mangrove and the dwelling place Royal Bengal Tigers and Crocodiles, but it should also be recognised for the brave hearts that live there.
BTW great video.
I can’t imagine hearing the roars.. it must be incredible.. and yes to work there you have to be very very brave and confident you can manage yourself.. I kept forgetting about the other deadly creature eg crocs and snakes..
@@carriepatsalis honesty, you are
as brave as them. I have seen other tourists or bloggers to visit Sundanbans and they are mostly stick to the celebrated tourist spots like Kotka or tiger points. Of course , You have visited them but your small boat ride on the foggy mornings in the narrow canals of the forest is really unique. Thank you so much for the experience and wonderful narration that you provided. Love you, Carrie

Thanks! I am in london now but maybe next trip!
'I'm trying to be David Attenborough' 😂
😁
Even though all the tourists are always eager to spot a tiger there, if you ask any locals they will always pray that you never encounter one. Because tigers are ferocious creatures and coming face to face with one can be life threatening. And the local people there know very well the impacts of loosing somebody like that as those persons are often the main earning person for their entire family.
I can imagine
Wow so beautiful my country❤
Wonderful 😍
Love your channel ma’m
Thank you 😊

" Next time you eat crabs from this part of the world make sure you appreciate it " touched eventually my heart.
☺️I am happy to hear that
Yes. It takes you breath away when you see a Tiger in the Sundarbans. No doubt about it. When I read the stories written by Tahawar Ali Khan's book "Man-eaters of Sunderbans" I was truly fascinated about this largest mangrove forest on earth, and about the swamp tigers most of whom are supposedly man-eaters. Do read this book if you love the Sundarbans.
It must be incredible to see one in the wild.. the most exhilarating experience 😍
Shundarbon is the biggest mangrove forest in the world.. It's very beautiful..
Loved visiting 😍
I hope you will come at Sonargaon in Narayanganj and explore the lost city sonargaon(Golden Village in English). It's so near from Dhaka.
