    😁👍 have a buddy that flipped over on this river. Dumped his canoe. I'm a yaki guy mostly, not nearly as easy to flip. Great series brother, much appreciated too. Gettin pinned on fast water is serious business. Yaki fills up, they're hard to move ain't they😁. Nice day , great camp. God Bless

    The waves on the river looked fun, was the water moving fairly fast or was it tiring trying to get that many miles in, in one day?

    • @SouthernPaddler
      @SouthernPaddler Před 2 lety +1

      Those waves were a blast! So much fun! The water was moving good. We didn't have to really work hard for any miles. There were some slower spots, but we always had some current and most of the time had really good current.

      Thank you, Spider Dan! My Old Town Saranac is 16ft. The green Mad River Canoe in the video was 16ft as well. The purple Old Town Next is a solo canoe and it is 13ft.

    Great videos! How do you keep your feet dry/warm with all the water sloshing in?

    • @SouthernPaddler
      @SouthernPaddler Před rokem

      Thanks so much, Matt! I wore neoprene boots. They let water in and keep most of it in. The water quickly warms to your body temp and they don't feel cold. I just finished another week long trip with the same type of shoes and never had cold feet even though the water was very cool because it's largely spring fed.
