- This video shows the process for liposuction/fat collection and fat transfer to the buttocks. Diesha wanted to document her experience here at MyShape Lipo so that others would benefit from her experiences. She felt that there was a shortage of information about fat transfer and hoped that this would help. She flew in from Houston, TX for her procedure. She had 6 consultations locally in Houston only to find that the average cost for fat transfer there was about $10,000. She saved over 50% by coming to MyShape Lipo for her procedure.
My initial thought on fat transfer was completely wrong. The procedure is no laughing matter. The results are amazing. The job you do, for those of us who feel we need enhancing, is absolutely amazing. I notice in these videos that you minimize incisions, openings in the skin. This must be a major factor for a speedy recovery! The idea that I could be considered a winner is an oppertunity of a lifetime. That you're willing to give away your time and effort is even more amazing. The more videos I watch and share and post, the more I'm learning. The fact that you don't have to sedate your patients is also not very mainstream when it comes to plastic surgery. winning the MyShape Lipo contest would mean a huge deal for me. I have always been self- conscious about my body and how my clothes fit me. I'm always wearing clothes that camoflauge another part so I can feel better. I don't have low self esteem but when it comes to my body, it's a big deal for me. Also, by me becoming an actress, I would like to be able to fit different roles instead of certain kinds because of my body or weight. I have tried losing by exercise but it doesn't fill in the parts I want filled in. I have researched procedures, prices, risks, etc and have always ended back at MyShape Lipo.
I am commenting on this for the current liposuction contest that ends tomorrow. Having this done would mean so much to me. I have always had a big mid-section and what you could call a pendulous abdomen, even when I was way thinner. I've never been able to get rid of it no matter what I've done. I just want it gone so that I can wear the things I want and feel good in them. This would mean the world to me!
Winning this contest would give me more confidence in myself, and help me be more focused on enjoying life than worrying about who can see me and what ppl might be saying. I have two beautiful girls and working full time is exhausting and I've tried the working out and eating better but most if the time once I'm done running around I just want to sleep and relax and get ready for the next day. The reason it would be meaningful to me to receive this procedure from this contest would definitely boost my confidence in so many ways I have struggled with losing weight for pretty much all my life. I would like to win the lipo contest because I spent nine years overcoming a compulsive eating disorder and achieve a normal weight, only to find years later that my body put on weight even with a low calorie diet and exercise and on top of it, I cannot afford lipo but the patients are send are getting good results. It's not fair! I worked so hard to lose weight by the normal channels. I hope Dr. Trevor can empathize.

The reason it is probably so cheap is because you are on a small bed in a small room. It looks sketchy.
+Kojokoy The beds are small so that the surgeon can be closer to the patient without hurting their back bending over. The room is a standard size 14' x 14'. The reason it is is cheaper is that we are able to perform the procedure with local anesthesia, completely eliminating the risk and cost of general anesthesia. Because it is so safe, it can be done in one of our surgical suites in our office. The patient can walk out feeling good following the procedure.

I wish I could have a procedure done with my shape Lipo. My trouble areas really keep me from being confident
It would mean a lot to me if I won the contest. I've had a very rough couple of years that's really taken a toll on my body. I went from being severly ill in ICU after having my daughter who's 3 now. To enduring an abusive relationship and getting out of it. I lost a lot of weight after I spent three weeks hospitalized for gall stones, severe pancreatitis, stress on my heart and fluid on my lungs. Once I was well enough to be released my body was pretty fragile and I still had to have my gall bladder removed. After overcoming that and getting back to being healthy, I found myself in an abusive relationship. The depression from that really takes a toll on your body and now that I'm out of it, I've gained 60 pounds. I really need to loose the weight but my body just doesn't work in the same way anymore so it's not easy to get it off. Winning this would change my world.

+Shameka Taylor The studies show that we are expecting a loss of volume for up to the first 6 months. After 6 months the fat was stable and appears to be permanent. It really depends on your expectations of size. If you want to continue to get larger, then you may consider doing multiple procedures. However, only a small number of people feel this is necessary as the results from a single fat transfer are typically good enough. I want to win this contest because my body's been through a lot since I gave birth to my daughter in 2013. It was a very stressful pregnancy where I lost 10 pounds instead of gaining but exactly one month after I had her, I collapsed on my bathroom floor I was in extreme pain. I was rushed to the er where they transported me to another hospital. It turns out that I had gallstones, severe pancreatitis, fluid on one of my lungs and stress on my heart. I would spend the next week in the intensive care unit. All in all I was hospitalized for 18 days, 15 of which were without any food or liquids until they put a catheter to my heart to feed me through an iv. It broke my heart to be without my baby girl. I lost my milk and a lot of my hair. After the whole ordeal, I'd lost another 25 pounds from the hospital...During my recovery to get better and waiting for my pancreas to heal so that they could remove my gall bladder with a lower risk of killing me...I found myself in an abusive relationship with my daughter's father. Months of enduring the abuse has caused me to gain 55 pounds since then. And although I removed my daughter and I out of harms way and was able to end things before he succeeded in killing me, I'm left with the weight from that low point in my life. Now that I've finally found my happy place again, my body doesn't work in the same way anymore and its been very hard to loose the weight. It would mean the world to me to win this contest. Is this considered smart lipo or mini Lipo?

The removal of fat can be done using many different tools, but the results are similar, this is considered liposuction. Smart Lipo is simply a brand of laser that is used in conjunction with liposuction when the patient is concerned about loose skin and would like up to 57% more skin tightening than liposuction alone. While there may be different names for types liposuction, the goal is always the same, reduce size while trying to look totally natural and smooth. ratt57 Yes, that is exactly what we are doing. We take it from a problem area where it is unwanted and give it a new home in the butt or breast, where it is wanted. This process is called "Fat Transfer." It's an excellent alternative to implant surgery. The results are much more natural looking and feeling than implants. Obviously if you don't want it put back in, we don't need to do that, we can simply remove the bad fat to give you that shape that you are looking for.

Ultimately it depends of the level of activity you are required to perform and if you are willing to deal with discomfort. It's absolutely possible to get back to activity quickly, we just don't know if you will be able to. If you do too much too soon, your body will respond by being more sore and more swollen. Generally people report retuning to full gym exercise within 2 weeks.

the reason is not due to the bed size..as an OR professional, actually the bed she is on is much larger than what you see if you were to have same procedure done under general anesthesia in a state of the art hospital. smh some things shouldn't be discussed if your never seen the inside of an hospital OR facility.

We also use memory foam and a heated blanket underneath for added comfort. Fortunately, since the patient is awake, we can ask them to move closer to make it easier for the surgeon

All of our procedures are done awake with local anesthesia. This means that we numb only the area that we are working in. This is by far the safest and most cost efficient method of performing liposuction. However, there are still others who do it the old, more dangerous and more expensive way with general anesthesia. Most plastic surgeons still do liposuction the outdated way.
First of all the fat transfer is a painful procedure and you bleed like you have been murdered I don't know how she is functioning
That has not been our experience. Those are very strong words. There is very little blood loss during these procedures, however when you use a lot of numbing fluid it can get very messy and the fluid is tinged with blood so I can see how one would mistakenly think that they are bleeding a lot.

+Judy Wiggan That's a great question. You are correct that it is not recommended to put pressure on the butt following the procedure. This is an old video so I don't remember the specifics, but she may have been sitting on a special pillow where the pressure is on the thighs and not the butt. Alternatively, it's possible that the section of the video where she was sitting could have actually been filmed on a different date. Either way, you're right:) The recommendations following fat transfer is to put no pressure for 2 weeks and limited pressure for 2 months. Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes I was concerned cuz I really do a lot of research on bbl and I know you're not to be on the butt for a while I really do like the way Doctor do this procedure why she's awake I always watch videos of Doctor doing lipo on the abdomen. Flank waist and back while awake . But not doing a bbl while awake. I'm about to get a mommy makeover so I try to do alot off Research.
+Judy Wiggan Research is good, it's important to be well informed. As far as I know, there are not many surgeons who perform the BBL under local anesthesia. The only way that I have ever done this procedure is under local, and our results have been very good. Almost all major complications from liposuction have occurred under general anesthesia so it's much safer under local.
