I took my 13 year old daughter there 7 years ago in October and loved it. Obessesed over Rollercoaster. The pool is not so great. Lots of shade where you want Sun.
We stayed there in Feb, LOVED it! My aunt won 14K. Rooms great, SoHo premium King with Fridge. Lots of cheap food options for resort credits. Lots of drink servers, great slots. Will be back!

I love how in-depth you guys are with your reviews! I agree with you on all points. I’ve never stayed at NY NY but I’ve spent a lot of time there. It’s definitely a perfect location if you are going to an event at T-Mobile.

Stayed here multiple times! Love this hotel room. It has an exactly what I need especially seeing as I don’t go to Vegas to hang out in the bathroom or the window.
The good thing is Vegas has a little something for everyone
We stayed in a Soho King prim room last year and it was much larger than the one you showed same with the bathroom, it was larger than the one you showed. Our stay was awesome, great service and great food options, fun casino. The location was ok, but compared to some other places wasn't bad at all.
Would’ve loved to have the larger bathroom! We enjoyed the room overall and thought the same about service and food options! So many more choices than we thought!
The house always wins Bubba!!! That being said, I always try to stop by New York New York because my girlfriend loves the Hershey martini bar , and I've had great luck in that casino!! Will see what happens next trip... Easter Sunday!!

I loved my stay at NYNY last month. True, I went through cash on the machines much faster than at other casinos, but there are other casinos to play at! I did have issues with my digital key. It simply wouldn't work on the elevators or my room door. But easy enough to make a physical key card. The food options were great!

Great episode ! It’s funny, we really like NYNY for all the positives you mentioned and I can’t disagree with the negatives. We are MGM people and we hardly go past Bellagio, as you mentioned ha 👍

Thx for the review. NYNY was my go-to for years, sadly it is no longer for many reasons. I’ll still walk over from time to time but from Aria, which is where I prefer these days.

I couldn’t agree more with this NYNY take …. The bathroom is the reason why I pass on it every single time…. Pool sucks … and I am not a fan of the casino …. Good restaurants but not staying there anytime soon 😎😎😎. Good video y’all 🤘🤘. Terry Fator is definitely right up your middle age alley 🤣🤣🤣

Hey guys ! I love the vibe at New York New York. I never win a penny though lol . Totally agree on those tragic bathrooms and the pool . The room remodel looks good though. While I will never stay there I always stop in for a chocolate martini 🍸 or two or three . Fun place but my jam is the higher end properties Aria and Bellagio or even Cosmo. Another great video 😎😎😎

I took my 18 yr old daughter to NYNY for her spring break/ graduation present. Yeah, the rooms are pretty basic, about 2 teaspoons above Holiday Inn quality, whatever... (every hotel room looks the same when you're asleep.)
However, the rest of the resort more than makes up for whatever may be lacking on the hotel room side. We loved the food options and how easily accessible it was, right around the corner from the elevators. Outdoor dining was also a big plus. Loved Top Round roast beef sandwiches!

I agree with just about everything in your review, yet I constantly stay at NY-NY. I also prefer Park MGM/NoMad (my favorites for my budget!), but I normally travel with one or two family members with disabilities, and NY-NY offers a good number of ADA/Accessible rooms while I’ve never been able to get one at Park MGM. If I manage to score an accessible room with the roll-in shower, it’s incredible! Those bathrooms are large, with far more separation between the shower and toilet, and the larger sink area (with a closet on the opposite side!) is a separate area outside the shower area.
I do agree the regular bathrooms are motel quality, the pool is unappealing, drink service is hit or miss and the smell of smoke is noticeable in the casino. But I’ve been very surprised (or just lucky!) that I’ve had no issues with noisy rooms or kids behaving badly. Also, I have done well multiple times at their slots. 😏
My best results in Las Vegas casinos has been at NY-NY, Park MGM, Bellagio, Wynn and Planet Hollywood. The worst results have been at all other Caesars properties and Venetian. It makes sense to stay where you are happiest to play 🎰 .
I think of NY-NY and Park MGM as a package deal, since they are tied together via the Park. You get the best of both worlds! The tram to Aria and Bellagio are very helpful as well. That section from NY-NY to Bellagio is, for me, the best part of the Las Vegas Strip.

When my wife and I first started coming to Vegas some 30 years ago and started getting offers, we mostly always stayed at NYNY (sometimes MGM Grand). We pretty much just frequent the MGM properties. Even when the offers started coming under the MGM umbrella and they gave us the choice of hotels, we usually stuck with NY. It just fit what we liked-a more relaxed atmosphere, lots of variety, kind of Disney-like. However, (and now that we’re older), when Park MGM went to non-smoking, we switched to there. We still pop into NY on most visits. I get what you say about not having much luck there. Kind of weird how that happens because, as far as I know (or what we’re told), slot pay rate isn’t regulated by the casinos, so you’d think you’d have the same (poor) chance of winning at NY as you would at Park MGM. I could be wrong. But, yeah, there are casinos I mostly never have any luck at. Oh, the room I remember is the shot of the suite you showed and the bathroom in the remodeled room looks the same as from before, too.

I like walking thru there. Lots of cheaper food options. And I like that the casino isn’t massive. But I really hate that pool area and that’s one thing I like doing is hanging out around the pool. It was too small and the water didn’t look clean after people were in it all day. So I’ll go visit it but I won’t stay there

We could not agree more! We enjoyed our room - except for the one prison-like skinny window overlooking T-Mobile Arena and Park MGM - but that bathroom … hard pass from us. Serious motel vibes. The casino is so lively and vibrant, but we had bad drink service as well, and for some reason we hardly played there. We either went to Park MGM or Aria. Something about it just doesn’t click for us. The location and Park area are very nice, and the food options, while plentiful and reasonably priced, do seem lacking at the higher end. We have eaten at Il Fornaio in another city and it’s pretty good. I expect the NYNY one would be as well. Gotta try that rollercoaster sometime; it does look fun. Really great overview of the property! We probably won’t go back either.

I feel you on the not winning at the casino. I have had favorable opinions on many other strip properties that let me play for a while. Sportsbook I walked by like a million times not even realizing it was a sportsbook. That's my biggest hit on this resort is that it seems impossible to win. But I can go across the street at any time to MGM Grand to play. Nice review good job

Thank you for the info. We’re staying at Park MGM this November. It was a toss up between that & NY NY & after seeing your video, I think we made the right choice. I do like NY NY for their variety of eateries. I haven’t won there either Josh lol.

I have that room booked for later in year main reason is never stayed here but I do prefer parkmgm or nomad time will tell how it goes.that pool is a put off but I'm not fussy I enjoyed my stay in riviera back in day

Nyny is my go to place to stay lately I love the food options and access to all the mgm properties I haven't done terribly in the casino I do better at Excalibur and Mandalay bay but it's just across the street so I just go gamble there nyny vibe is great for me I'm in my late 40s

NYNY was our old #1 and now that is Cosmo. It is such a fun place. So much to do. Not happy that post Covid their Craps limits went up to $15 or $25 during the week. 😢

Great video, we’re thinking about staying here in August. What is the MyVegas rewards you mention? Do you have a video about it? We just got back from 4 days in Vegas and are planning our next trip in August. Any rewards and discounts you can get the better, especially in Vegas!
We don’t have a video on the MyVegas rewards. We’ve used a couple at NYNY.
The first is the all day roller coaster ride pass - for free!
Also good to use is the buy one get one free Tom’s beers at Tom’s. A couple good deals for sure!
And if you can find a $20 off $40 for a meal, we’ve used that at other MGM properties!

I loved nyny’s food options. I loved the theming. I enjoyed the newer rooms. My only gripe while small was having to go on a different floor to get ice.
That is one we hadn’t heard but we did not get ice during our stay, that would be wierd

Another great breakdown guys. When you really breakdown the food options it's a bit shocking all the food options at NYNY. Since Liz smokes like a chimney, I think this would be the better option over Park for us lol.
haha thanks Mark! We totally understand the smoking thing. Yea we were totally shocked the more we went through the property - so many food options and probably the best selection at a casino for that cheap to mid tier pricing that Vegas seems to be phasing out more and more
We are MGM Rewards members and normally stay at the Park MGM. We also stayed at the Aria a couple of times and stayed once at NYNY. To us there is no comparison as far as the rooms go. Park MGM Nightingale Suite which we usually get compted for 4 nights is by far the best to us.
Too bad you can't win at NYNY Josh, I've done okay there at the Pai Gow table and soso on the slots. Odds are if you keep playing there you WILL win. Don't give up!

I love NYNY. I have stayed there 7 or 8 times, but not since 2015. When I don't stay at NYNY I do a lot of gambling there because I love the casino. Definitely give Il Fornaio a try. I slept on that place for years and when I finally went, I was pleasantly surprised.

Last year we stayed at NYNY and I loved it there. I spent a TON in gambling and lost my butt! We scheduled to stay at Park MGM later this year. I did like Gonzolez Gonzalez and we'll prob go over there during our trip. It was interesting to hear your views. I totally agree with everything.

I love the NYNY. Found it to be quite revitalized after the pandemic with new rooms. Casino Center Bar was a more happening spot. If you;'re complaining about drink service they will easily ignore you if you're not playing video card games. Just put a 20 in and you can have 2-3 free drinks even if you lose it. Previously the Piano Bar was the attraction but not anymore. Granted, we go to Vegas to see hockey and it's close to the arena. Coyote Ugly: you're not missing anything. Went in once during a stag trip years ago. We were supposedly on some "VIP Guest List" but you wouldn't have known it.... We may have lasted 30 minutes before bailing.

We stayed at NYNY several times in years past but the last time we went, which was several years ago, it was filthy. In addition, the restaurants in the food court closed very early. We would go back to the room around 11 or 12 and pretty much every restaurant was closed every night.

This is a fair review. Takes are spot on. I like NYNY to play and to eat, but I stay at other MGM properties. Would have loved NYNY's arcade as a kid. I think the advice of staying at NYNY for T-Mobile events is solid. Two points:
My least favorite thing about NYNY is that it's a pain in the ass to get around at night, especially after said T-Mobile events. As they say in New York, forget about it! NYNY will have the crowds of a MGM Grand or a Bellagio, but in a much smaller casino. It's already hard to get around the casino with NYNY's casino layout, but it can get so packed that it's very difficult to get from one end of the casino to the other, or to play slots. Like you said, it's more of a party atmosphere.
Favorite thing right now about NYNY? America is open 24 hours. At least something is.

Love the NYNY, but have never stayed there. I think the food options and atmosphere align more with my type of crowd. Funny, the Mirage was the casino I have never won at.

The prices are definitely creeping up for both New York New York and Park MGM. We do a package including airfare from Toronto as it works out cheaper. Mandalay Bay has also gone way up in price. Looking at June 23-27 I found Venetian and Palazzo equally priced (which is odd, usually Palazzo is higher) at $ 891 all in. For the same time frame flamingo is $663 (for basic go room), Excalibur $621,
NYNY is $725 and Park MGM $722, Mandalay Bay $977. For a bit extra I'm going with the Palazzo. Love their casino, pool and general customer service. The fact that Mandalay Bay has become priced like a top tier hotel surprises me.
Wow - that is shocking and would agree, if we could do Palazzo for a bit more we would! We’ve heard great things about Venetian/Palazzo and hope to stay there soon!
Ny ny has a cool vibe and very cool street food area. I also like having drinks at Pour 24 over looking the casino. However, I do not like gambling there for some reason.

I’ve never stayed at NYNY, but I have eaten there and gambled there, and I can say your assessment is pretty much exactly my experience. I have eaten at the Il Fornaio there, which is one of my favorite chain restaurants. You are exactly right-it isn’t the highest-end. But I had good food and excellent service at a price that I felt was appropriate for being on-Strip. I did not win in the casino, either. For me what made it unenjoyable was that they were doing some kind of filming there and I got yelled at for accidentally walking into a shot. That’s when I cashed out and left. Kind of ruined my whole evening, because I brought that negative energy with me to my next stop (ARIA) and lost even more there. Lastly, your comment about drink service also matches my experience. I don’t know what it is, but the only MGM property where I have had even halfway decent drink service is MGM Grand. All the others were horrible. This was a couple years ago, in the throes of the panorama, so I was hoping things had changed-but it sounds like they haven’t
Drink service for us has been so hit and miss we’ve started counting any drinks on the casino floor as a bonus!

We like NY NY, win more in the high limit room than the regular casino. Drink service is hit and miss, we usually drink at The Center Bar and play video poker for a bit. Love Tom's Watch Bar for the vibe and appetizers.

The thing I hated about Park MGM are how low the beds and couches are to the floor. It makes it hard to get off them. Other than that. Love the Place also NyNy!

Hi. I also would choose Park MGM over NYNY. I stayed there in Nov and didn't have a fridge in my King Soho room, or win in the casino. (or ANYWHERE). Boo. I am staying in a NoMad room soon. Re your $100 food at NYNY vlog: I would have have definitely used it up in a sit down restaurant.

NYNY is my favorite MGM casino. The theme and layout with high ceilings. It is definitely more laid back than Bellagio, Aria, and Cosmo. Drink service has been better than those 3 as well. Do prefer the non-smoking at Park MGM but it is annoying that there are no late night eats open there. They tell me to go to NYNY for late night food. (Crack Shack should be open later)

It is definitely worth a try. It’s a very good mid tier property but that pool could be a dealbreaker if you are a big pool person.
When in vegas we always go to Il Fornaio. They have very good bread, pizza and pastas. You should do some research on Il Fornaio and Cannaletto in the Venetian. You might enjoy the food. Sometimes it's nice to have great food and not pay $500.00 for the meal. I.e. Vetri.

The Restaurants fit the mid tier price range I feel a lot ask for but people tend to rather go cheap or all out expensive in Vegas so they aren’t the most exciting places to pick to eat at
I love NY-NY, the new remodeled rooms are much better than the old ones. I never have to go the lobby to register or check out because I have the MGM app and do it there. You can get a digital key or print it yourself at the lobby. It literally takes less than a minute to print your own room keys. I also like several of the restaurants.
The only thing I don’t like about NY NY is that the slot machines pay nothing and there are no many video poker machines, which I prefer to play.
We like to go to the desk if the line isn’t long to ask for a complimentary upgrade. Can’t get one if you don’t ask
Staying at NYNY in sept. decent free play and resort credit also im trying to stay at every MGM property only 2 to go after that until they add Cosmo

Variance is a weird thing. I've actually had good luck gambling at NYNY. What you described is similar to my experience at Venetian.

NYNY is the only casino where I won $100 on slots😂Spent it at Il Fornio, way back in the 90s. Enjoy 9 Fine Irishman too!! Great bar, & food. We loved the arcade and coaster❤. We stayed at the Tropicana (always) and walk over. Sadly, the Trop may be gone soon. Much better pool area there when they really made an effort to impress.

Loved NYNY when we were there last November. We won’t stay there again as we make a point at staying at a different hotel every time we go to Vegas.

Josh, I can't win at NYNY either, been going to Vegas for years and have never had any luck at all at NYNY.
It definitely matters for me always puts me in a bad mood if losing all the time

I used to always stay at NYNY but someone stole my wallet out of my backpack while I was playing a slot during my last visit in November and they were completely unwilling to do anything. They wouldn’t check cameras or assist filing a police report. They gave me 3 $25 vouchers and said “sorry bout ya.”

Absolutely a good one for first timers. Unless you want an over the top pool, that would be the one ding for first timer if you ask us

Nah - just a tiny bathroom
I plugged up the toilet there once. Too much TP, I guess, and it overflowed. But it was like 3 in the morning, my wife was asleep, and I just couldn’t call maintenance and wake her up. So I took a couple towels, soaked them with the water they could hold, wrung them out in the tub, and did that over and over until I got all of it, then took a shower. I think the toilet finally cleared, but it was a crossed-fingers flush that first time. In the morning, my wife said she could have sworn she heard the shower going that night. I kept the whole thing to myself.
Yep…never win there! Bellagio has been a cash cow for me the last year or two. Cosmo, too. And to agree with a prior comment…Paris is TERRIBLE for slot play, as well! Arrgghhh!! 😕

Spot on with your review. We actually did a family trip last summer at NYNY, our EPIC FAMILY TRIP!!. We spent way more time at the amusement/carnival games than we planned, also more $$$. :). And the food options was perfect for the kids. We knew about the small pool at nyny, so instead we did a cabana at MGM Grand, and the kids loved the lazy river. But don't ever see me and my wife stay there ourselves for many of your same reasons. But it does bring me back to the early 90's when I first started going to Vegas, in the themed heyday.... I rode rides out back at MGM Grand when they still had the Theme Park, as well as the front entry way decked out in The Wizard of Oz theme.

Just wanted to share --- On our family trip we also saw Ka - just technically amazing, and beautiful. Fremont ZipLine, Oscars, Helicopter ride, the Flyover, M&M, Coke world! We had a blast.
For other families... If you don't want to stay on strip, we also did a trip where we stayed at Tahiti Village, they also have a great pool, lazy river complex. It's a timeshare, but you can just stay like at a hotel.
Wow that is quite the Epic trip. So many fun things to do in that area for the family, smart move getting the cabana at MGM Grand for the day
The casino is dark and very confusing and the slots are tight! The only good thing about NYNY are the food choices. I had a better time at Luxor. I won't be back.

Didn’t know it had an arcade area . Good tip , eventually I want to my grandkids to Vegas so my whole family can come with us . I am from NY so the street area is fun to visit . My Sons have a CZcams channel that covers video games , WulffDen, NY NY has a slot machine with a bonus that plays like Mario Kart so it’s a must play when we go to Vegas . #Wulffdendad

Those bathrooms are terrible. Even worse than the Mirage rooms. And I thought they were bad.
I’d love to stay in the remodeled room but I just don’t think I can cope with that bathroom.

You’re correct, the same goes for Excalibur, Luxor, Park MGM. I NEVER see anyone hitting slots. You’re correct, on a $3.75 line bet, $4,000.00 in should last more than one hour! Invaders from the Planet Moolah is mind boggling. Aria is not much better. The only MGM property that I routinely see people hitting is Bellagio.

Congratulations 🍾. You’re the first person I’ve heard in 30+ years of hitting a hand-pay, especially, on a low coin bet at these MGM properties. I’ve played $50 spins and never came close to a hand pay on Buffalo Gold Collection at Luxor.
Excalibur is actually where I have done best out of those properties it seems, no clue why but I also feel they have the best drink service

I think the room looks ugly. Looks cheap. Poorly designed bathroom. Embarrassing. Awful. Would not stay there.
It’s definitely not for everyone. It does have more character than the blah room set up that we saw in the Marquis suite.
The MGM properties’ drink service is always terrible. I love to check out NYNY every time I’m there. That center bar is so loud that it’s almost like it’s trying to make people go deaf. I’m totally with you that Park MGM is better!

_Wicked Wheel_ had some nice sized progressives, but I couldn't hit anything over a couple days and didn't see anyone else claim it either!
I didn't hit at Excalibur either, but the progressives paid out for someone else, when I checked in the morning!
I stay at Park MGM (Monte Carlo before that), Excalibur or Vdara typically, so I go to _New York New York_ for food and gamble, but have never stayed there. That small, cramped bathroom is a no-go for me! One positive is its location, cross the bridge to Excalibur and the Luxor/Mandalay Bay connecting free tram or a walk through _The Park_ to Park MGM with free tram access to Bellagio, Vdara, Cosmopolitan, Crystals and Aria. Across the street you have MGM Grand with a monorail station and access down to Sahara Station, so you can relatively easily access the whole strip.
Easy access to many options is a big plus!

NYNY is a great location. I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms last October, and I was happy with the remodel. I am staying 5 nights in May. As for your negatives for not staying at NYNY: 1) Never winning at NYNY: You understand that it's gambling and it's lady luck. You are going to lose more than you win. The resorts are built on the house, winning the majority of the time. 2) The bathroom is too small: Do you spend half your vacation time in the bathroom? The bathroom is used for #1, #2, taking a shower, and getting ready for the day/ evening. So the bathroom reason seems lame to me.

A nice, comfortable bathroom should be the norm based on Vegas rates. Even NYNY is price inflated today.
@@erikaromero6473 Prices for all the major properties on The Strip are definitely going up. Luckily, I gamble enough to get my room comped, minus the resort fee.
Horrible tinyAF washroom. Toilet Bowl is right near the sink 😂.. So cramped.. Ok I guess for solo travellers.. Im staying here in summer time for just 50 bux a day in resort's fees
For a solo traveler it’s fine, keep the door open and brush your teeth while sitting on the toilet 🤣

Honestly, that resort is an only one time stay. We were there for5 nights. Not impressed with housekeeping. If I return to Vegas in the future, I'd stay at A different MGM property.

Ny Ny is a NO for me...I thought it looked dated didnt like the food except for Gallagers and too many children..not for me at all. I love the Palazzo ❤

I can’t win there either or at Caesars or planet Hollywood, or the MGM Grand. Ever. I have better luck at Bellagio, Cosmo, or cheapo Excalibur at that end of the strip. Paris sucks for gambling too.
With ya in most of these Excalibur is still my favorite casino in that end of the strip
