This method is really the truth. I had to watch the video again because it wasn’t coming out right, but you are literally wrapping and not intertwining. Love it!
I did this the exact way and my hair lasted 3 months. and when the ends were sticking out, I realized the braid was too big. tie the ends with rubber bands. I just took them down and tomorrow I get some more

I love that braiding at the root technique! I would feel much more comfortable trying this style using that technique instead. It looks so much more secure, and very natural. You did an amazing job, as always 💕

took me HOURS to do it; actually, it took 2.5 days, off and on because it was during a work week - but it was so worth it!!!
You could probably start off with the braid, but twist the rest of the way down. I did some twists like that. Partially braiding then twisting helped cut down on time significantly.

instead of like unraveling it a little to get your hair inside of the crochet loc, do you think you could push the crochet needle through the middle and pull you hair through? or is it too small of a loc for that?
