I'm in south Texas and we've had several convert to dollar tree plus in the last couple of months! You are so right about the seasonal decor in that section, it's so good!

Yes, one of ours is turning into a plus store...which is odd because the other DT is way more spacious
I feel sorry for people (and I know a couple!) who think there's only "junk" at DT. Even with the price increase to $1.25 there are still great deals, and I've actually seen things that seem "higher quality", perhaps because of the price increase. And I'm lucky to have sources in my Southern CA area to still get things for $1 at 99 Cents Only or Big Lots.
What are your thoughts on 99Cents Only? There's one around here, but I've never stopped in. I was just wondering if there's particular items you'd recommend.
@@TheSwauzz yes they have the awesome spray and a lot similar cleaning product that dollar tree has but under diff names but their party decor is good some of theyre toys like kid fidgets etc...food items
@@TheSwauzz 99 cent store has some good things. I always get my sponges, erasers, and pumice stones there. Also their seasonal items can be good too. And “movie theater” boxes of candy are a staple there and make awesome candy bouquet gifts. Once you go to 99 and DT you’ll learn which store is the right one to go to for what your looking for. Like if I need wrapping paper at Christmas, DT hands down. It pays to go every so often because they both get incredible items in only once that you’ll never see again. Sometimes you won’t find anything special, but when you do it’s so worth it.

Okay so that 1st item... the small mesh bag I have a use that I've never seen anywhere else.... I have 3 school aged children, and make 15 school lunches a week. I always have peanut butter, dressing, dip etc for fresh fruit or veggies... I use the small rectangular dressing Tupperware for these dips. The draw back is cleaning these small pain in the bum. So I fill the bag with these dip Tupperware and dunk in hot soapy water for 15 to 20 mins. Then take the bag and chuck it into the top of the dishwasher and never have to race to the dishwasher to stop plastic from melting... man I wish I had thought of this when my kids had pacifiers, and toddler dishes.

My family have had themed children's parties all from Dollar Tree. And we were able to have my daughter's wedding (last year) mostly from Dollar Tree. It allowed us to have her dream wedding on a budget.

Dollar tree has some other things missed on your videos. Their exacto knives are as good as anyones. They also come with replacement blades. They have wood and imitation picture frames that are nice the paint brushes can be used on simple paint projects or as a way to remove dust. The hard tooth brushes work for grout and the beer mugs make a great glasses for teenagers that break things. The mini flashlights are great for kids at night, women's purses for seeing door locks at night. Big bottles of name brand shampoo, body wash, etc Last but not least, on a hot day pop cicles are great to quiet kids and they're cheap

Love this video! Our Dollar tree doesn't have ice. I will keep watching. So glad you aren't complaining about the price increase. I love Dollar Tree. They have had the one-dollar price since my kids were little. My youngest child is 32. I am now raising my granddaughter and Dollar Tree is our favorite place to go.

My son used to be a brand name Lego snob, (he's used them since birth, and now an older teenager) and he didn't think that the D. Tree bricks would measure up, but for the past 4years, he LOVES, absolutely ❤️'s the DT wannabe Legos. It's kid, even picky teenager approved!👍🤣
Megan, I really appreciated when you mentioned that there is no reason to overlook the toy aisle! I’ve heard others say we shouldn’t even walk past it but I have found really great items there…
Plus one the great things about stalking each isle is finding hidden gems that people put back somewhere it doesn't belong 😁

I always love your videos. Always informative and straight to the point. I keep the duster mitt in my car to dust my dash and console. You can make gifts using DT’s glasses, mugs.Buy glass etching cream like Armour Etch to personalize with names or phrases and fill with candy, flowers, socks, etc.

I've been watching you since before I started working at dollar tree, and I've always agreed with your assessments. Now that I work there I have used these same tips when talking to customers.
I love how authentic you always are and the great ideas you have. I've used several of them over the years and can attest to how good your tips are.
1 - Those Christmas socks are the best! I wear them year round because they're so soft. 2 - I've used DT plastic tablecloths for photography, as well as DT shower curtains. 😁
The new rake and broom holders are also used for curtain rods. You just cut them in half and mount them sideways and you can put your curtain rod inside of the clips.
I like that you can buy smaller packs at DT. Good example was those plant clips- I need 20 not 60! They sell things in smaller packs which is nice for things you don’t use all the time or need to many of
I picked up $2.50 of veggie seeds this year for my son to try out with his new girlfriend working with him. Last year he had great success with mostly herbs, but he bought all the seeds and plants from expensive avenues. This year, I suggested - let me get you seeds and try that route. About 2 weeks ago (we are in the south...) I got that first round of photos that look like a nursery of little pots, starting out. He and his girlfriend are excited and looking forward to an absolute ton of veggies.

OMG! I have been using the car dusting hand mop for-EVER! I love, love, love this!
They also are one of the only places I can find the non-cellulose kitchen/dish sponges! These things just work better, imho.
And the scrubbie side doesn't damage dishes or pans!
Their metal chip clips are my FAVORITES!! I totally love them way more than the more expensive plastic ones sold elsewhere.
I totally always buy the photo frames, especially for photos in the office.
I have waited so long for someone to mention the night light, I love that you can turn the direction on them I love the design plus, I have seen them other places for more than 2$.
I love dollar tree for so many things. I did name brand small items for my kids advent calendar this last Christmas. Everyday was something super cool for my son & daughter. Barbie accessories, hot wheel items and Disney characters! Thank you for pointing out some great extras!

I went into DT knowing I had exactly $9 for specific food items. I completely forgot the price increase, ended up leaving some items. No biggie, but it taught me to remember the extra 25¢! 😂

I use the kitty litter pans when I am repotting plants. It helps keep the dirt contained.
I have The Mixing Bowl the custard cups and the apple corer and I would buy them again at Dollar Tree birthday cards and stuff I would definitely buy at Dollar Tree, can vegetables no, I can get two for a dollar at Walmart. But I like the idea of those mesh laundry bags because I have to start crocheting a blanket for my grandson and his new wife and I have cats and I was trying to figure a way of protecting the yarn from cat hair and we have bad static this winter so I've been waiting for spring but putting it in the mesh bags just gave me the idea of something to pull the yarn through without exposing it to my lovely cat fur, so thank you for that.
I LOVE, LOVE ❤ LOVE DOLLAR TREE! I need a new mesh garment bag- NOW I know where to get it!! I just bought the new broom, mop, etc HANGER--- I AM SO EXCITED! BUT NOW I'M MORE excited cuz I thought I was going to HAVE to hang it up with SCREWS! NOT!!! SELF STICK! Also, you CAN'T beat their cards! There's so many things that I haven't even seen yet!! Multi generational Lego lover household here. Lol In our experience, Dollar Tree's Make-It Blocks are good but break more often & don't stay together as well as Lego. The baseplates especially the 10" square are a good deal & hold up pretty well so we always watch for them. We also get all the 5 pack sets of minifigs & the construction / vehicle box sets since they're unique pieces & the baseplate top storage cases to construct on. We prefer to stick with Lego for basic bricks & watch for sales & buy 2nd hand though instead of off brands.

I have to share my experience with the apple corer. The first one I bought - same one shown in your video - it broke the first time I used it. No biggie…I must have gotten a bad one. I bought another one, about 2 weeks later…same brand etc. We got about 5-6 uses out of it before it also broke. That’s my experience
i have had the same one for a couple of years BUT.... we dont eat a lot of apples, so about the only time i use it is when i make apple pie- maybe a few times a year. I can see where if it was something used regularly, it might be a case of 'its better to spend a bit more'

I live in Michigan and our stores have a lot of empty shelves, even DT. I’m not complaining, its just strange. it started right after the first of the year, and we’re being told it’s going to get worse. Lots of great tips Megan. You definitely showed several items I had no clue about and things I wasn’t sure if they’d be worth the $$. Thanks letting us in on your secrets. 💕😊
It is due to lack of hours, employees, and lack of product. We have had people ask if we are going out of business, just because of a few empty shelves (in the seasonal area where we are moving things around after Valentine's Day was over.) For some reason, our store has been a lot busier than normal for this time of year and it is hard to stock and cashier at the same time. The actual "stockers" are busting their butt in their sections to get product out while the cashiers are also trying to get product out.
@@knittenpurl4274 I worked at Dollar Tree years ago, at that time they had workers designated for stock and they worked midnights. There is a shortage of employees, restaurants, fast food and stores are going out of business simply because people don’t want to work. Like I said in my comment, I’m not complaining, it’s the way of our world today.

Ohhhh! My second comment. If you’re browsing the Dollar Tree Plus aisle, check out the battery operated hamster!! It works and I laugh at it every time I get it out for the grand kids. Honestly. It’s so realistic. And it can even maneuver itself out of corners! Of course, it’s $5, but I’ve seen $20 toys that aren’t this much fun.

as a student, my favorite dollar tree find is the white out. The jot brand is infinitely better than BIC, and it's the only white out i'll ever use.

Yep! I went into our local DT yesterday (we’re in Texas) and I was like a kid in a candy store. It was FINALLY a DT Plus. I will say that this store still doesn’t carry the best crafting items (wood, ribbon, flowers, etc) are all still the same old boring items, BUT now they’re carrying a variety of bigger items. I also looked yesterday for the broom organizer and there were none. Kind of bummed me out. I was really hoping to snatch one.

I bought the self stick squares to cover my kitchen island..They work great..and at home depot they cost $12 to $18..they also week great to spruce up a vintage trailer..the metallic copper squares are beautiful to cover shelves or bathroom walls
