Having a 3D mario maker would probably be difficult to use if not made correctly. Making a 3D game in Game Builder Garage is kinda difficult. However I have a solution which is to make a setting to go from grid based to free roam build instead of putting everything on a 2D maker which is what GBG did.

I feel like smm3 could most likely go for an 3d creation maker like Fortnite and Minecraft
Doubt it, that would be really tough to pull off well. Especially if they wanted to make it easy to use for youngins, which they would because it's Nintendo. Chances are they'll stick to 2D Mario Maker games.

If there ever is a MM3 I hope it has Smb2 added as well as a lot of the items and enemies missing from the other games. I'd also like to be able to make the levels moderately longer, as long as the longest levels from the original games.
Being able to make 3D levels for the 3D games would also be great.
3D levels would make the game way too complex, I mean it already is

they definitely have to release a super mario maker 3, there are still a lot of things that they didn't add in part 2, like the volcanic theme or the mountains or the underground volcanic theme the autumn theme, the snow theme, the theme from castle tower, to the theme of new super mario u should put the ice flower the mini mushroom and the giant mushroom, to super mario 3 the infinite P wing also the armor of the hammer brothers, mario tanuki etc. also more camera movements like a camera that moves the level away, another that moves it up and many other things, WE NEED A PART 3 WITH ALL THAT AND IT WILL BE COMPLETE!!!
