I was a delivery driver years ago, I delivered a package to a customers house while they were out. As I was doing the paperwork two large Golden Retrievers stuck their heads in the van, one had a ball in its mouth and looked up at me as if to say “PLAY WITH ME”. So I did for about 15 minutes, I left the home owner a note saying how great his dogs were, it made my day !!!
My auntie had a golden retriever that was my guardian.. I used to work at a store and he would stay at the pass walk all day only taking a break for lunch.. I thought for sure he was a human being.. my aunt said she did everything to keep him at home but he would jump a locked gate to go see me… So sad that she moved away took the dog which passed away a few months later of depression! 🥹🥹

My neighbour have a golden retriever. I used to take her for the walk along with my dobbie. While my dobbie is very suspicious of everyone and almost anything, retriever was very relaxed and chill the whole time.. lol. She even allowed strangers to pet her without any issues while I tighten the grip of my dobbie as she gets really defensive around strangers.
Not really. The dog saved the day by grabbing the guy by the arm while he had a gun pointed over the counter. The guy was retreating when he lifted the dog over the counter. So just imagine the robber getting enough distance to now turn around and shoot and kill the dog. Now what? You have a dead dog when you could have had a live dog after a victory because it did it's job intially.

Chihuahuas are no joke. I work in emergency medicine and most of the wounds we see on people are from small breeds. A number of years ago a guy came in with a 9 cm laceration to his face that opened all the way into the mouth cavity. 40 some odd stitches. The culprit was a Chihuahua.
Never understood why some people have “companion” dogs when they could have a companion, guardian, attack dog and babysitter. Lots of great breeds fit the bill. For me, it’s a GSD or Rottie. Strong, solid, loyal to a fault. Treat them like they should be and they’ll save you or die trying.
We've got a little Jack Russel. He's 17, nearly blind and has hearing loss. We also have a Dalmation. The only time that he ever barks is when I leave him in the car at the shops. We definitely need to upgrade our security system.

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. @@johncater7861 That depends on where you live. Everyone should be responsible for their pets but no dogs are labeled anything where I live. And it seems the people in my neighborhood are responsible owners. Dogs in general deter would be trespassers. The barking alone keeps most of the local cat burglars away. And most would rather pick a yard without a couple of Dobies in it. But if anyone decided to jump a fence and got attacked, where I live the owner would not get in trouble. My only fear is that a child might jump over to get his ball that accidentally went into my yard. I wouldn't want my dog attacking a 6 year old kid. Hopefully the dog would be barking well before the kid climbed over and he would stop climbing. Some people claim their dogs would only attack adults. I hope that is true. Dobies are very easy to train so perhaps they could be trained to not attack children. They are protective of their home though so I don't know. Before I get a Dobie, Giant Schnauzer or Rottie, I really should learn more about this. I love Dobbies most but a Dobbie mix might be better just because mixes are usually healthier.
Our next door neighbours had a German Shepherd, which used to watch their toddler son in the front yard. Any time the child went near the gate, the dog, Rinny, would gently nudge him away. Our neighbour's trust in Rinny was justified. People would come and go up the street, some of them saying hello to the little boy, and Rinny was totally unfazed. UNTIL, one afternoon, a man walked past, said " Hello, little boy".....and Rinny went berserk, trying to leap over the fence, teeth bared, hackles up, snarling and barking. I saw it and was amazed. Rinny was normally so laid back! I didn't notice anything untoward about the man, so what eneaged Rinny, I don't know, but he was in full protect mode and would've killed that man if he'd got over the fence. Some ancient instinct told Rinny that this was an enemy, and the child was in danger. A truly wonderful animal.
Boerboels are very tough dogs, originally bred to protect cattle. They easy weigh 75kg and up, and those jaws will crush any bone. You REALLY dont want to be on the receiving end of those jaws!!
That's for sure. They are the best home defense dog imo especially if you aren't planning on getting your dog trained for defense. It's so natural to them.

I've been around dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds. First time meeting a borboel, my blood ran COLD. That dog was LONG, and STRONG. all muscle, 200lbs, and built like a real bull or a boar. Absolutely massive and intimidating dog. Would NEVER want to go toe to toe with THAT breed. (His paws were the size of my hands, and his head was thrice the size of a normal dog. Even bigger than a xl bully type dog. He was "stocky", but still came up to my hip. An lioness sized dog. )
One night on the farm, I heard a ruckus. The hogs where raising hell. Which is odd, they normally sleep thru the night. Which got my dogs riled up as well (2 German Shepards and a Chow). I went to investigate and found someone tree'ed in my hog lot. It seems they was going to try to steal a piglet. Well momma ( 400lbs) and a few other sows thought otherwise. The fool very well could have ended up as dinner. Hogs are mean when pissed. It took me and a cop 30 minutes to get the hogs separated from the action. The whole time the dogs made sure he didn't come down until we wanted him to. Gotta love animals. They are better people than most people.
It is a serious conundrum, if you find parts, do you bother to call or just let them finish, one of the harder parts of farming they don't teach in school!
My Cane Corso once mauled a guy that tried to run away with my daughter playing in the back yard.. when he was arrested he could only count on his fingers to 8 and was missing a fist sized chunk of flesh on his thigh.
I had a rotty cross doberman once and come home late through the back yard and woke her it was the scariest thing i ever faced for about 3 seconds when she finally realised it was me ,Makes your heart pound
My bloodhound mix (A very calm dog), once ran through a shut screen door into the yard. I ran out to see her threatening some guy who came over a locked gate. A complete surprise since she was very non agressive. Goes to show you never can tell.
Yep! My big, sweet golden turned into a working guard dog when the time came. He had a great bark and put himself between my wife and any threatening person.
Our house was burglarized way back. The guy came in through the front door, and not knowing that the dog was in the backyard, he exited through the back door with all the loot. Our stuff was strewn across the yard along with pieces of his bloody clothes, a blood trail showed where he jumped the fence to escape. The guy got tore up, the dog got a steak dinner.
When my place was ransacked I had an indoor dog. She used to be very gentle but after that incident she hated all people aside from me. She was also missing when I got home most likely due to chasing after the guy.
Because the stupid law will question her about the time she arrived home, why the delay in calling an ambulance. Even criminals have got rights in most countries.
My family has always had German Shepards. There is one in particular that we raised as a puppy and was always my buddy. When I moved out, I would come visit and my mom would tell my dog I was coming. She would wait right by the door for me until I arrived. One day I dropped in unannounced and I could hear that dog snarling and barking running from the back of the house. By the time she turned the corner where I could see her, she had her ears pinned back and teeth showing. The minute she realized it was me, she immediately put her ears up, went goofy, and jumped and licked me. I never feared her before as I have wrestled and roughed house with her all her life, but that day she scared me and I understood that she took her duties seriously. I am proud and love her
I saw a video where a street dog prevented a young girl from being abducted! She was walking home from school and a guy was following her in his car. The dog was just out on the street but HE sensed the Evil intentions of the man and the Fear of the girl. The stray came to her rescue and had intent to attack the man! That scared him away!
Robbing a house with a borbel, cane corso, GSD, or pitbull inside is like forfeiting your life. Those dogs were bred to protect families. Borbels and cane corsos especially are not dogs you want to mess with.
Dogs should be a legal part of personal property protection. If someone's on your property with out your knowledge or consent. And especially when you're not home or in the early hours of the morning Dog's just like homeowners should have every right to defend their territory.

Hay guy's I should say I live in New Zealand.If we have a home invasion in New Zealand.And the person that does the home invasion gets hurt or Killed.By the home occupants.or owner. Then the home owner or occupants have to go to court to prove it was self-defence.And if the home occupier or owner's dog attacks the home invader for being unlawfully on the property The Dog gets destroyed. So ya we have some pretty messed up laws over here.
We were in the market for a guard dog. My German Shepherd passed a year before. My mom wanted a small dog. But in our area we have some riff Raff and some stray animals that would find their way in our back yard. So my sister bought a Rottweiler. Best dog we ever had. She was playful with the family. But went into guard mode when strangers came around. She bit a neighbor for hugging my mom. Best thing that dog did. Never did like my neighbor
I assume they are neighborhood dogs that are part of everyones family and everybody takes care of them but they are free to roam. Kinda like chickens do. And they just defend the entire area. Smart way to doit
Those two dogs in South Africa are Bull Terriers... they are robust, big-boned powerhouses... the most amazing pets ever, but if you combine their strength and incredible bite force, they are not good for a burglar to run into. Oh yes, fighting back with kicks and punches will only anger them! By far my favourite domesticated dog breed

An old neighbour of ours told us a story about when he was a boy in a small town in Agrigento, Sicily. It was 1949 and a would-be thief entered his neighbours property that had, not one, but 2 Neapolitan mastiffs guarding the house! When the owners returned home, the man's limbs were partially torn off, his face was mangled and he was disembowled. True story. Don't f*** around with that old, rustic working type Neo's. A drunk guy mistook the house and entered the property of a Caucasia Shepherd breeder (whom was at fault for not locking their gate; it was merely closed). A female ripped off his finger with one bite...before the lady of the hoise could intervene.
I have always had 2 large dogs, rhodesian ridgebacks, one time some poor fool climbed the fence to check out my cars,when he saw the dogs he climbed onto the cars thinking he was safe... wrong, the jumped up and pulled him off. They shredded his forearm and the other had him by the throat. If I was not there to pull them back and offer first aid, he would have died. I was later contacted by him through his lawyer to apologize and thank me for helping him. I hope he learned his lesson and went straight.
I own a Blue Heeler. They are extremely territorial and protective of their owner. She’s as affectionate as they come with people she knows, but if you’re a stranger posing a threat, she’ll tear your face off. She’s better than a lock when she’s in the car.😊👍
When I was 12 I heard a noise in the garage and then my boxer started barking like crazy. I ran outside and saw some man riding off on my new bike! I opened the gate and let the boxer out. She caught up to him down the road so I walked out in the dark following the sound of screams 🤣. She finaly came running back with most of a pair of bloody jeans. Found my bike and rode home 😅
My dad was a cop and he always said that even small dogs can prevent burglaries by barking and raising the alarm. And just so you know, a female can be the most aggressive guard dog, especially if she has puppies.
Had a 120 pound Rottweiler named Bella. She was a goofball with people she knew and trusted. If she didn't know you she would look to me first. Also had female doberman that was very protective as well.
she doesnt need to have puppys, you only have to have human beeings in the house that where once babys while she grew up. she will fight with her life to protect them.

Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

And it seems the people in my neighborhood are responsible owners. Dogs in general deter would be trespassers. The barking alone keeps most of the local cat burglars away. And most would rather pick a yard without a couple of Dobies in it. But if anyone decided to jump a fence and got attacked, where I live the owner would not get in trouble. My only fear is that a child might jump over to get his ball that accidentally went into my yard. I wouldn't want my dog attacking a 6 year old kid. Hopefully the dog would be barking well before the kid climbed over and he would stop climbing. Some people claim their dogs would only attack adults. I hope that is true. Dobies are very easy to train so perhaps they could be trained to not attack children. They are protective of their home though so I don't know. Before I get a Dobie, Giant Schnauzer or Rottie, I really should learn more about this. I love Dobbies most but a Dobbie mix might be better just because mixes are usually healthier.
Our next door neighbours had a German Shepherd, which used to watch their toddler son in the front yard. Any time the child went near the gate, the dog, Rinny, would gently nudge him away.
Our neighbour's trust in Rinny was justified. People would come and go up the street, some of them saying hello to the little boy, and Rinny was totally unfazed.
UNTIL, one afternoon, a man walked past, said " Hello, little boy".....and Rinny went berserk, trying to leap over the fence, teeth bared, hackles up, snarling and barking. I saw it and was amazed. Rinny was normally so laid back! I didn't notice anything untoward about the man, so what eneaged Rinny, I don't know, but he was in full protect mode and would've killed that man if he'd got over the fence.
Some ancient instinct told Rinny that this was an enemy, and the child was in danger.
A truly wonderful animal.

I've been around dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds. First time meeting a borboel, my blood ran COLD. That dog was LONG, and STRONG. all muscle, 200lbs, and built like a real bull or a boar. Absolutely massive and intimidating dog. Would NEVER want to go toe to toe with THAT breed.
(His paws were the size of my hands, and his head was thrice the size of a normal dog. Even bigger than a xl bully type dog. He was "stocky", but still came up to my hip. An lioness sized dog. )

One night on the farm, I heard a ruckus. The hogs where raising hell. Which is odd, they normally sleep thru the night. Which got my dogs riled up as well (2 German Shepards and a Chow).
I went to investigate and found someone tree'ed in my hog lot. It seems they was going to try to steal a piglet. Well momma ( 400lbs) and a few other sows thought otherwise.
The fool very well could have ended up as dinner. Hogs are mean when pissed.
It took me and a cop 30 minutes to get the hogs separated from the action. The whole time the dogs made sure he didn't come down until we wanted him to. Gotta love animals. They are better people than most people.
Imagine if they did eat him and nobody ever knew. 🤢

My bloodhound mix (A very calm dog), once ran through a shut screen door into the yard. I ran out to see her threatening some guy who came over a locked gate. A complete surprise since she was very non agressive. Goes to show you never can tell.

Our house was burglarized way back. The guy came in through the front door, and not knowing that the dog was in the backyard, he exited through the back door with all the loot. Our stuff was strewn across the yard along with pieces of his bloody clothes, a blood trail showed where he jumped the fence to escape. The guy got tore up, the dog got a steak dinner.

My family has always had German Shepards. There is one in particular that we raised as a puppy and was always my buddy. When I moved out, I would come visit and my mom would tell my dog I was coming. She would wait right by the door for me until I arrived.
One day I dropped in unannounced and I could hear that dog snarling and barking running from the back of the house. By the time she turned the corner where I could see her, she had her ears pinned back and teeth showing. The minute she realized it was me, she immediately put her ears up, went goofy, and jumped and licked me. I never feared her before as I have wrestled and roughed house with her all her life, but that day she scared me and I understood that she took her duties seriously. I am proud and love her

I saw a video where a street dog prevented a young girl from being abducted! She was walking home from school and a guy was following her in his car. The dog was just out on the street but HE sensed the Evil intentions of the man and the Fear of the girl. The stray came to her rescue and had intent to attack the man! That scared him away!
Robbing a house with a borbel, cane corso, GSD, or pitbull inside is like forfeiting your life. Those dogs were bred to protect families. Borbels and cane corsos especially are not dogs you want to mess with.

Then the home owner or occupants have to go to court to prove it was self-defence.And if the home occupier or owner's dog attacks the home invader for being unlawfully on the property The Dog gets destroyed. We were in the market for a guard dog. My German Shepherd passed a year before. My mom wanted a small dog. But in our area we have some riff Raff and some stray animals that would find their way in our back yard. So my sister bought a Rottweiler.
Best dog we ever had. She was playful with the family. But went into guard mode when strangers came around. She bit a neighbor for hugging my mom. Best thing that dog did. Never did like my neighbor

I have always had 2 large dogs, rhodesian ridgebacks, one time some poor fool climbed the fence to check out my cars,when he saw the dogs he climbed onto the cars thinking he was safe... wrong, the jumped up and pulled him off. They shredded his forearm and the other had him by the throat. If I was not there to pull them back and offer first aid, he would have died. I was later contacted by him through his lawyer to apologize and thank me for helping him. I hope he learned his lesson and went straight.
