It’s the hospital goal to push people out as fast as possible. It’s usually premature and results in an unsafe discharge and high rate of rapid re-hospitalizations.
What about considering the patient's insurance so they know what they are responsible for ? What do ypu look for for eligibility ? thx I dont have experience in this field nor do I have education for this. What/where. an I read on to prep for this type of job ?
Insurance is always considered when looking at discharge destinations. Thankfully the case manager in the hospital will typically help sort through any issues!
