Limiting the power to the wheel that loses traction. - A Welded dif (best for drag racing) it's welding the gears of the diff together. Also known as the cheap beginners Spool diff. It just gives power to both wheels equally. - A locked dif (best used on the buggy) locks the 2 free spinning wheels with the 2 drive wheels. It gives the vehicle the ability to have 4 wheel drive. Aimed for off road terrain.

Most racecars dont have completly locked diffs your better off with stock diff the locked diff would be for offroading capabilitys and drifting
