Moodiesburn Skatepark - The New Local

- Scotland's newest outdoor skatepark, Moodiesburn Skatepark, opened about a month ago and it's only a 15-minute drive from my house, so I had to go and check it out. Despite the fact the concrete has barely set, it's already got some interesting graffiti, such as ACAB and an artistic depiction of a boaby - the classics. It's not that big, but it's extremely well built, has a range of obstacles and you can do some nice lines there. In fact, if you have the stamina, you can just keep going round and round doing trick after trick!

Ur right it does get really busy and the other day 2 toddlers were fighting a parent came over to break it up and all the older boys were basically hurling abuse at her

Which is better Maybole or Moodiesburn dave? Great to see even more parks just waiting for one to appear in Killie still.
Hmm. They’re both pretty even actually! The bowl at Maybole isn’t very good, but everything else is. I would say Moodiesburn is better for lines. Maybole has the best quarter pipe and better location.

My personal favourites were ACAB and the cock and balls - gotta love the classics
