    For those that might have the first book the new version has a lot of new content. Felt like I wasn't clear about that in the video.

    Can't wait for you to post a video of you improvising with examples of the pentatonic formulas in different keys and zones on the guitar.

      @@TysonGraf just a quick question if you dont mind.. do you sing the notes you play during improv practice? I was told to do this. It's so hard!

      @@draj8590 I have, but don't regularly do it. Although I've been told by people that have seen me play live that I sing along with what I'm playing. Main reason for doing it would be to help connect your ears to what you're playing. Here's a video I did about this subject. czcams.com/video/Tx82YlwNsbg/video.html

    When you first strated working with this book, did you just work on every formula by it self or did you sumperimpose the formulas at the begining and what would you recommend when starting working with this Book? Sorry for my bad english

      Hi, I just randomly picked formulas as tonal centers. I would keep it fairly simple for awhile to get used to practicing this way. Might be a good idea to start with common formulas like 135, 135b7, 12b3456b7, etc.

      @@TysonGraf hey i did what you adviced for about 3 weeks now and also came up with some new ideas myself but what did you do next?

    • @TysonGraf
      @TysonGraf  Před 3 lety

      @@luisnowak7881 Many many things. But when I was heavily into practicing formulas I would practice 3 different formulas everyday, and I would choose them based on what seemed intriguing. Spent about an hour on each one. Keep in mind a formula is just a tonal platform for you to develop your musical skills, like time, phrasing, etc
